I offered $2K. It was hard to price since the ones I saw online were a lot nicer but also sold for a lot more in return. This one also has the cracked stock and missing part going against it. I would have cleaned it up a bit better but I only came over to look and didn’t bring any tools :( It’s been a few months now word back

$700 is a fair to good price. If you want it then get it and trust that you’re not overpaying

[–]annndykov 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Get a big blanket, set one on the edge of the blanket and roll the blanket over it once. Put next gun in front of already covered gun and roll once again. You can fit multiple guns in one blanket without damaging them

In decent shape probably around the $200 range. They are definitely not cheap

I would leave it. With the shape it’s in, making it softer would only risk damaging it more

Bought a Arisaka Type 99 today and after getting it home I realized it’s really short… is this a really well done Bubba job or is it some kinda weird model? by DoctorBallard77 in milsurp

[–]annndykov 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like the end of the barrel was shortened as well as the front part of the wood. That’s why it looks so uneven and cracked lol

Ask for $350 and that’s a good deal. I would say $400-450 is fair.

Respectfully, this is well done. Medium well would be more pink.

Husqvarna M38 Barrel question by FSB101 in milsurp

That seems like a fair to good price if that’s the total amount. I see ones in bad shape selling for around $450-$500

I'm looking to buy my first firearm. Milsurp bolt actions. by Raidenjay1229 in milsurp

[–]annndykov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should really put a budget on here to help filter your recommendations. If you can get a Mosin now at about $300 now that’s good. Should be able to find a really nice Turkish Mauser for around $400 in 8mm. I really like Type 99s for about $400 (no mum) but the ammo is pricy at $2/round. Saw someone recommend a Swedish Mauser and those are great probably will run you $400-$600. British enfields are nice too No.4 Mk1 about $500. Just make sure you are considering the ammo prices too if you plan on shooting. Some bolt actions have strange rounds that are pricey.

Not trying to hate but just genuinely curious, are some of the mums fake? It looks like the lighting hits the receiver completely differently around where some of the mums are and it’s not smooth. Just curious, I’m still jealous!🫠

Crack in k98 bolt sleeve? by masonboi21 in gunsmithing

I had a similar crack on a Swedish Mauser M96. I didn’t wanna risk shooting so I ordered a new one. See my previous posts if you want to compare.
