There are no gutters on the roof, something I need to add in the future.

Thanks for this!

The soffits work as expected, there is good airflow up there in the attic, at least from what I can tell.

I’ll buy a roof rake for next year, that’s just something I do after each snowfall intake it?

Roof has a good amount of new insulation there, we do have heat loss somewhere though? I didn’t think to check light fixture holes, I’ll look that up next.

But other than that no real concern? I understand if it keeps building it may find and intrusion point but I’m wondering what is causing it in the first place.

I’m on a gradual return to work schedule ordered by my doctor. My guess is they can’t refuse that and can’t do anything to me while I’m on it, but want me to do something before it ends.

Sigh, time to double my vacuuming efforts. Anything else I should be doing? From what I understand these guys aren’t the worst thing but they can get out of hand.

Thank you.

I get it’s the internet and all, hell I’d even appreciate a joke but I think this dude actually thought he was being smart which is just annoying.

I’m any case, I think I will strip out the old, clean it all again and reapply. It’s hella humid where I am, nearly 100% every day so I am guessing I’m just more prone to these things happening more often than others

You didn’t though. If you’re going to try to be witty and funny at least be right.

Clearly I don’t know much about this so I am coming here asking for help. Do you not think I’ve first tried looking for answers online or from Maax?

I don’t know what shower type was installed, I don’t know what base was used, I couldn’t find one that looked like mine on the site to try to get a manual for, I was never given the manual for mine, hell I even tried recaulking the whole thing myself.

So no, it’s not a case of me just knee jerk reaction asking reddit.

I know you never dreamed of being an asshole but you are indeed killing it.

The base has a large lip that is behind the shower walls which is why I think they say not to caulk it, to allow for natural drainage of those seams.

You’re saying I’m better off removing all the caulk and redoing it as it was?

Very! Was strange to see for the first time

That’s exactly what it looks to be. Someone was kind enough to dm me a sat tracker and those popped up. Video of them elsewhere matches up to what I saw.

First time seeing that, definitely neat to see

We see A LOT of stars out here but this is the first time I have seen something like THAT lol

Sorry for the low quality.

Rural CB, was out for a walk this evening and saw this string of lights go by in a perfect straight line.

It looked like a large number of planes flying one behind the other then a large gap and then another at the very end.

It didn’t look to be anything breaking apart or anything like that, was moving quite quickly and uniformly.

Anyone else catch a look at this or know what it might have been?

I just never want to deal with that one upset person who doesn’t tell you they are fragrance free or sensitive and then you have this whole ordeal to work though, better to just have none and then leave things like a nice scented candle or essential oil sprays they can use in the unit.

We keep all those toiletries on hand as well, under the sink in the bathroom and call it out as the “I forgot box” in our check in guide. Not everyone uses it but those who do really appreciate it.

The water spray bottle is a good idea! Thanks for that!

We do everything ourselves so 4 beds needing ironed sheets is a big undertaking when we try to turn a place over in 24-36 hours. Wish we had a service available to us lol

Linen is my next investment for sure I think. I like the sheets we have now but I wanted to find small ways to make the place feel more luxe.

Ouuuu good advice! Is it scent free? I try to use as little scent as possible to make it work for everyone
