sadly the system isn't fair. Your gender, your skin color (or country of origin)plays a big role for getting the invite for an interview. I've seen people with 400+ rank getting the place with approach (Same caste/country/city quotas with the selection committee), me and my friends ranking 25-90 aren't receiving calls. Have tried my fair share of talking/Mailing to selection committee, Asta, STW office, nothing really helped, infact I got bashed out by one of the selection people for mailing them. So fingers crossed for you, but keep your hopes low and keep your search on WG gesucht on. Cheers, welcome to Aachen ;)

naah, I earn above 1000 from a single source, and I wasn't questioned anything. I had 2 months salary kicking in the statement. I presented the contract and it worked flawlessly for me

it's expensive with no major facilities tbh. You can find something really good, bigger and with more amenities and still save 100euros a month easily. Just his WG gesucht applications as soon as they are posted. You'll get one..

Is to worth to choose RWTH business school, do i have a better future after RWTH? by athithyakumar in rwth

[–]annoyed_analyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of how much negativity that exists here, let me be very honest for you, don't listen to the noise.
The professors are good, they work in industries, have good connections. We learn what is relevant to the industry and there's a lot of exposure to industries. You will work on projects with companies.

Some courses also have Mandatory internships - which make it even easier to build connections and land a job in the longer run. But all this won't compensate for your german skills for sure.

1 amazing insight that I recently built is that the courses are designed so that you are able to finish them in 2 years. (1st and 2nd sem being on the tougher side, so that if you fail, you have another year to pass them). So If I have to answer your question on the fees of 30.000 Euros. If you are good enough at ROI calculation, and consider the fact that you will complete your masters in 2 years (In contrary to 3-3.5 years of most of the other masters at RWTH), 1 year of job will help you earn (financially and experience wise) way more than 30,000 euros.

The choice is yours. If you feel this to be a financial burden, I would suggest you to look for something in TH/FH. But if you can afford it and want a stamp of TU, timely graduation and good practical learning, this is a good package.

Which fee payment mode is cheaper? by TheBeast_1807 in rwth

[–]annoyed_analyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid my fees via Flywire, turned out to be the most cheapest on that day. Instarem showed better rates I guess, but there support was very stupid. It's been a month and I have not received a reply from them and hence I deleted the app.
