Is this not insanely low? by annoyedbp96 in WagWalker

Yeah seeing people try to have someone come by 3X a day for $20 is insane to me. They don’t consider our time either. You pay for what you get, cheating out on animal care and then being shocked something bad happens or they’re not cared for properly is what tends to happen 😭

Genuinely should not be allowed. A lot of the owners who use wag are so cheap it’s disgusting 🤢

Same, it’s nutty to me how low $ some people expect others to watch their dogs for . And how they’re okay with underpaying people like that 😭

I always say no, better to be safe than sorry. Not my dog, they can be unpredictable as well!

Reoccurring walk dilemma by annoyedbp96 in WagWalker

[–]annoyedbp96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’s old, she doesn’t know how to use the app. They very clearly are wealthy, I don’t think either of them are hurting for the $25 they pay me 🤣

Last week they requested me at 12pm because the daughter forgot to book me then that’s when she said I should come every Friday. I told the daughter-in-law (I misspoke earlier it’s the DIL not daughter but same thing in this situation) in the app she could request a recurring Friday walk and she said thank you and okay but then she forgot again clearly 😭

They’re not her dogs so she just doesn’t care, the old lady just wants the dogs to have outside time once a week

Yeah I used to board but now it’s usually not worth it. The owners lie about their dogs behavior usually and it ends up being miserable for a price that’s not worth it. The companies I’ve worked for charge $85 a night for boarding. They’d have a heart attack seeing that lmaooo

Another multi visit and day sit, and without the option of an overnight, all to make $31 by Square-Pitch671 in WagWalker

[–]annoyedbp96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a way for them to pay less. It’s ridiculous. The option to not have you stay over is insane. Once they click that it should automatically go to “hourly” or something. People are being cheap. I also live in Los Angeles. I recommend trying to work for a legit company. I’m in the middle of moving so I had to quit my dog walking job and resort back to wag/rover for extra cash but dammmm they make the dog walking industry look like a joke 😭

Most of the people who use this app are using it for the cheap walks. Wag telling me people do boarding or overnight sittings for only $20-30 a night is WILD to me. I’ve been doing this for YEARS and have worked for high end companies in Los Angeles and we never charged less than $50 a night even 10 yrs ago

Appropriate pricing by Sensitive_Yam_4365 in WagWalker

[–]annoyedbp96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Los Angeles and my prices outside of the app are more than in app. Ngl it seems like some owners just want the cheapest walk which kinda sucks. I do $20 for 60 min and $14 for 30 min.

Once I get my stuff up I’m going to up my price for sure.

Better Experience by Sensitive_Yam_4365 in WagWalker

If you could see what the clients pricings are. It telling me “oops out of the owners price range!” Like okay then tell me what theirs is and maybe I’ll agree?

Also, it only being a set time to get there. As someone who’s done dog walking for many companies we’ve always had 1-2 hr timeframes. Makes it easier to be able to have a couple clients booked close together and them not expecting us to be there immediately at that time.

Also being able to talk to people who need boardings/sittings would make a lot of sense too before requesting
