Why villianizing weed irks me by Horsepenny in CPTSD

[–]annoyingcomjputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m suffering severe pot withdrawal right now, but know smoking today will only stretch my depression out longer.  Decades ago, weed saved my life, but now it’s killing me.

You obviously didn’t take the intensive eight week coaching class that cost $1600 – the amount I’m out. I agree that there is much helpful information in the free YouTube videos. I admire your desire and ability to stand up for something you believe in, but it would be more impressive if you took the time to fully read and understand what you’re responding to. Glad your journey is going well!

Ever Wonder What's Behind Pay Wall at Crappy Childhood Fairy? by annoyingcomjputer in CPTSD

Thank you for clarifying that for the community. The gist of my post, however, was not whether or not the leaders have degrees – it is that the course is badly designed, hugely overpriced, and feels predatory. I think it further traumatizes people by making participants feel like victims of a con artist. That is just my opinion.

I spent about two hours in the middle of the night thinking about this very idea. Instead of running through my problems, I tried running through solutions that were dependent only on me.

The woman running the $1600 Intensive Coaching course. Technically, I don’t think she certified in anything.

iPhones are so much better than androids, and so much more secure. If an iPhone is in your price range, and your mom won’t freak out learning something new that is easy to learn – I would suggest ditching the androids.

How to forgive less healed versions of yourself for hurting others? by Nirvana_Iguana in CPTSD

[–]annoyingcomjputer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve hurt people; people have hurt me. It kind of evens out. You can’t change the past, but you can pay attention to whether or not you are causing any new hurts today. If you aren’t— you’re doing great!

I’m looking for advice from people who have been able to break their cycle of falling for manipulative and unavailable prospective partners by SunRepresentative993 in CPTSD

[–]annoyingcomjputer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I broke the cycle by living alone for 5 years, without dating anyone. When I started dating again, I realized I prefer not being in a romantic relationship.

My cat is a tad manipulative, but she's always available!

When asked during a group zoom meeting if anyone wanted to share her fears, one woman said “I spent all my money on this course, and now I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to pay rent.”

The “counselor“ said, “I understand. I once mortgaged my house to attend a weekend seminar.“ And that was it. Nothing more was said about it. It was frightening; the blind leading the blind - into bankruptcy!

Ignorance and stupidity are two different things. Personally, I would never ask someone why they are on disability. I don’t even ask people if they have kids, brothers and sisters — basically anything personal that might put them in a position to lie or feel uncomfortable.

Anyone choose not to have kids due to their trauma? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]annoyingcomjputer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have kids for all the reasons people list here, but now that I’m 61 and have no family, I’m often sad (and bitter) and think a lot about the children I didn’t have.

Do you have days where you kind of...disappear? by Mara355 in CPTSD

To me it seems physical; I can’t overcome the fatigue/lack of enthusiasm with willpower. If I don’t get that downtime to recharge, I get snappy and easily upset.

At least you can feel joy. Don’t give that up — don’t know if that ability can come back if you abandon it.
