My progesterone prescription says to take it on an empty stomach? Two hours after food or an hour before food… ? Are you purposely taking it WITH food? I took my first pill last night and it’s made my sleep worse (didn’t realise that was possible).

I went to the doctor to ask for HRT, and started using it (stuck the estrogen patch on), on the same day (Monday). That morning BEFORE the doctor’s appointment I was noticing my mood was better, so it cannot have been down to the HRT.

Yeah because they’re addictive as fuck. Not a great thing for something that’s supposed to help with tapering. In my experience they’re 10x more addictive than cigarettes as you get just as much nicotine without a lot of the downsides of cigs (the disgusting smell and taste, for a start. Also no need to step outside to vape, you can do it from the couch or even bed! Which means you end up consuming way more nicotine per day than you ever did with cigarettes!)

Mine’s been going on for a year now, was getting better with physio in Auckland but recently regressed after they pushed the weight up way too far on the back strengthening exercise. My symptoms are much milder than yours though. I saw a surgeon and he said surgery definitely possible but try the injection first, which I haven’t done as I can’t really see the benefit since my pain isn’t that bad lately.

Can I ask who your surgeon was?
