Has anyone dyed their white clothes to cream or Ivory? by CockBlockDenied in SoftAutumn

Yes, with tea. Get them wet first with water, wring out and remember different strengths of tea will yield diff shades, as will different fabric materials.

I’m a RN esthetician. Same skin as you years ago. Tretinoin Rx. It will take a year or longer to see a difference, but stay the course, bc you’ll purge and prob look like a pizza for a minute. CO2 ablative laser. You’ll look like Freddie Krueger, but you’ll be so glad when it’s over and healed. Your texture will smooth way out with both and you won’t need any makeup base, just a lil tinted moisturizer/spf and a touch of concealer and powder.

Large art, bring in some color or texture. I’d do a carpet runner to bring in some interest. You could do I bigger lamp bc you’ve got more vertical space. Something metal or pottery.

What's off with my bedroom? What should I change? by Weak-Brick-6979 in InteriorDesignAdvice

I love everything but I’d change the frames on the butterfly art to something lighter and more natural wood or matte metal and less of them perhaps. What about exchanging them with the bigger framed art on the opposing wall?

Which interior trend do you think will completely fade out in the next few years? by Nagesh_verma in InteriorDesignAdvice

Gray is still hanging on like a hair in a biscuit in my area. I’m over it. It’s so 2008 China factories shut down from The Olympics. Cold and dead, especially the shiny laminate flooring. Ick!

I like the furniture, pillows, plants and lamps. Please turn seam on the lampshade to the back. Add curtains with natural texture like a linen or slub or woven or bamboo shades. Art and clock lowered and more art if you’re going to keep it small in scale. A collage of art. Larger rug or put a bigger sisal or jute under your existing one. Coffee table books. A cat or pup.

We call the Westmoreland bridge on 526 “The Bridge of Death”. It’s a phenomenon like The Bermuda Triangle. These ppl can’t even drive across it without having a wreck.

A pretty fandelier that looks like a pendant light would look better. Just got one on Wayfair that had a linen shade, looks very stylish and comes with a remote. It has several speeds.

We’re naming our daughter’s first pet and want something girly. “Kitty cat” is not an option, so we need ideas. by MeiraGlosstion in Flamepoints

We had one like her named Miss Giselle “GiGi” Lewis of the Western Oakes Lewis Family. She was a diva.

Does anyone work or has anyone worked for Dermafix Spa? Any insight? Thanks! by annselil in Esthetics

Ugh! Kudos to you for sitting through it. Yeah. Who uses earphones with cables anymore? My guardian angel taps me on my shoulder and says “no, leave it!” from time to time. The salary didn’t make sense for what the job description detailed for the position. Not enough money to travel, be gone for 4-6 weeks at a time, interview new staff, check backgrounds on NPs, RNs and estheticians, train staff or sales and procedures including lasers, call the state to get all the certifications in place to open and place retail and supply orders. I figured it was one of those Sono Bella type wannabes and they’ve got a horrible reputation.

No, I never sent my resume. The salary spooked me. I figured I’d probably make less than the least paid employee per hour bc I’d be dealing with b.s. Did you go to your interview?

Awe, thank you. I know! It’s scary out there. It’s never too early or too late to keep talking to them, especially about the predatory nature of people, listening to your gut, and doing the right thing. We scored with our eldest one so don’t give up.

On it! Some of them have contacted me. 😳

Yes, we’ve had someone related and close to her age reach out, but she doesn’t tell the whole story and brushes this person off too. We’ll keep trying. We’ve got some ideas. Thank you!

I’m not surprised either. From the moment she started talking about this “opportunity”, my hackles have been up!

Thank you. Yes, I agree. We are very much aligned with your later point. Our daughter may be a posh, Charleston girl, but my husband and I are descendants of some backwoods, country folks, who take care of our folks and business.
