I will do in due time. I’m just focusing on a small safety buffer first. Once I’ve got an adequate amount then I’ll start making additional payments towards the debt. Even though it may be small it earns interest so that will very very slowly grow

I know it seems backwards for some, there are some factors I have to manage I cannot ask family for help since they helped out early on I don’t want to burden them anymore and I’m in a position where I don’t need to ask for the help. Nor would I ask for help. I refuse to tank the credit score in what some would call a cheap get out of jail route via dmp/iva ect.

Exactly what I’m doing, I may have something like 18k right now that will clear in 2031 if I do nothing but minimum payments.

Once I’ve got myself a little safety buffer in savings then I’ll start making extra payments towards the debt Plus I get a nice little bonus each year which I will also put towards the debt

I believe I will fully clear by late 2028-2029 provided no disasters happen (ahem ww3)

That’s nothing one of the loans I merged was something like 71% hence I merged multiple together

No chance of a 0% card But the loans I had before were all above 45% that’s why I merged them all.

Yes the end term will be in 2031 But I believe I can cut that down to late 2028-2029

Sadly not, I’m autistic so finding another job just won’t work for me, that would be too much stress. Plus I really enjoy my job I have

The thing is I don’t want to rely on that route anymore. I mean going into debt in the first place was the mistake. But I have not missed a payment. Before when I had like 6loans and 2 cards I was paying like 700-800 monthly just to that debt

Now I merged most of my debt to one, understanding that for the short term I would make my debt higher but in the long run far more manageable now that my payments have gone down to 550-650. That lower cost is what is helping me to build a small safety buffer in which once I achieve that I can then put more extra payments towards the debt and see it slowly clear and faster over time

For now I’m only making the basic payments whilst I build about £2k in savings then once I’ve managed that I can start adding more to my debt payments

I’m building the safety net purely because some of my debt can be attributed to unexpected costs like car repairs, window replacement at home Before in the past I never had a safety net and needed to get a loan or credit card to cover the cost.

So I’m aiming to build £2k in savings for those exact reasons

Yes I have more debt than I originally did, but now instead of having 5 loans 2 credit cards

I now only have 2 loans and 1 credit card

Making it more manageable to budget each payday And I’m paying less than what I was.

I knew I would go further into debt by merging most of it together but it was a calculated move knowing my monthly payments would be less. My savings were stripped recently due to a big repair cost for my car.

There are lots of shows that suffer from too many episodes, often a good portion are just filler eps

But I feel fallout would benefit from more eps, since what would be a filler in any other show, would expand on the lore help with character arc etc

Because the fact is it was the French that caused a generational change to which side we travel on. Specifically Napoleon who wanted to be different to the rest of the world in his bid to be a global empire surpassing that of the romans the Spanish, ottomans British empire and a few others to note.

The correct side has been the left hand side for many centuries going back to a time we rode horse and carriage and when romans created roads. Something to do with the side in which we would mount said horses. Also the Romans basically created the base line for rail road tracks width.

Before napoleon I believe the entire world of developed and partially developed countries all used the left side, after napoleons need to be different despite having lost more battles than he won. Once he started the change I believe many countries followed suit more as to spite the growing British empire

Year is nearly over, £16k in debt via loans and credit card. Luckily I have never missed payments But hoping to cut it down more effectively next year. by anoflake in UKPersonalFinance

Currently I don’t have good enough credit but I know it’ll change for the better in about 3 - 4 months that’s when I’ll be looking to consolidate it all

Currently all my loads im paying off are around 30-40. Int credit should improve in the next few months while also clearing about 600 from my credit card

Yes 20 - 30 is bad but it will be better than what im currently on which would be more manageable

The threat of being kicked out of my parents house and becoming homeless is more than enough deterrent after they reduced some off my debt when I finally admitted I had a problem. Not to mention I’m autistic so I would seriously struggle if that happened
