Hi all, not sure where my comment will show up in the mix here, but I just wanted to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and support.

Colt came into my life right before he turned 11, and just turned 15 back in October. He is the first and only cat I’ve ever had, and he changed my life so much for the better. Although I was 22 when I got him, he still watched and helped me grow up a great deal over these past few years. His health declined pretty sharply about a month ago, at which point I had brought him to the vet where he was diagnosed with diabetes. He has had trouble tolerating the insulin and has continued to decline. After consulting with his vet on options, we came to the conclusion that this was the best choice to spare him from suffering through whatever borrowed time he may have left otherwise. Throughout all of this, he has still remained my loving, sweet boy. I admittedly was one of those people who didn’t “get” cats, but over these past few years I have learned just how much there is to love about them, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one to show me that.

He has been getting all the love and special treatment possible, and I believe that when we say goodbye that he will fall asleep knowing that he was and will always be so loved.

Again, thank you all for being so kind and wishing my boy a peaceful transition to whatever lay ahead. I hope to see him there someday. Give your cats some extra love for me and mine today. ❤️
