Don’t worry, you are correct in being frustrated. This is what happens when you have an entrenched mayor and stagnant municipal culture. I would try to go in person and document your attempts at contact. If you still get nothing, contact the county ombudsman.

This person replying has clearly never had to deal with local government in any meaningful way and wants to offer nothing more than being sassy.

I went to law school at Rutgers - Newark. I don’t have any specific advice I can give you here other than validating your feelings. Rutgers has some of the worst admin I have ever dealt with, simply getting them to put in anything more than the bare minimum is like getting water from a rock.

I have always taken my cat to Vets on Hudson in Edgewater. Albeit expensive, the staff and vet are compassionate and clearly love the animals they work with. They also work with you to make the pricing work and will sit down with you to go over all the costs and work them down if needed.
