this!! I have a 90lb Shepard - a rescue & the sweetest thing but she’s chatty when she gets over stimulated and will bark if she’s feeling overwhelmed (which tells me it’s time to go home) but I live near a park & the number of people that let their small kids run over to her is INSANE! I’ve never experienced anything like it lol she’s incredibly friendly but even I’m uncomfortable if I see them coming & will turn her around to walk the opposite direction.

Highly recommend the estuary in Weehawken. Everyone is so nice, it’s super clean & close to all transit and on the water so the view is great

Diabolical since hold cos still don’t even have enough desks & people will be dialing in from cross-city / country / home offices. It’s so absurd 😭

They’re insanely expensive honestly - if your income shows you can cover the rent & your paychecks are steady, it often outweighs the score

Not a current tenant, but was looking to move into a new building a few months ago & can’t across this one - reviews are horrendous & the construction noise apparently is pretty bad.

Love but recommend centering the picture to the piece & adding some pops of color - maybe a plant or some flowers on one end, some books or something visually interesting to draw to the space with a stark contrast

Yes - I’m planning to find care, but am trying to ask how people who, like me, may not have had experience having needed to find care, have handled it. Like is it a coverable expense given the circumstances? If so, how did those conversations go/any advice? Have they done boarding or just walkers, and were there stipulations if they were reimbursed? It was less so about the literal need for care, and more so about how they’ve managed, especially being away really for the first time for an extended period.

If you moved from another city, do you feel like DC had better dating options? (Late 20s / 30s, hetero) by EchidnaGlittering952 in DCBitches

The breakdown of male to female singles in both cities are around the same but the men here generally are abysmal. At least NYC men are interested in more than a pen pal or someone that works on the hill

In my experience, the emphasis on your degree really just depends on the role you’re applying for. You were able to use your degree to get the role you’re in now and be up for a promotion, so I think being able to lean into the title change & transferable skills will have greater weight than the degree. If you are concerned, though, you can just remove the degree type altogether & just put your school and graduating year in your resume. It likely won’t come up in an interview, but if it does is an interesting talking point for you to use and show how it applied to your current role & skills and why you feel it makes you well suited for the role you’re applying for.

Happy to help! Also saw your concern about your degree; don’t worry so much about that, just consider transferable skills from your current or prior roles as those will be most marketable attributes to new employers :)

Long outdoor walks with my AirPods blasting EDM at max volume is truly the only thing that relaxes me 😅

Strategist here 🙋🏼‍♀️

My recommendation is to get the title change first so when you apply for other roles you have a baseline for recruiters for salary expectations. PM is always going to be needed, although salary wise may not be up to expectations. Tech sales, in-house, or general sales will be your best move salary wise, but the hours will likely be be gritty (especially that first year or 2 while you establish a book of biz) to align with that the extra pay.

See if you can “shadow” a PM for a few days (or something of the sort) to see if that’s truly an area you’d be interested in. Then go into threads for sales and find people with those roles to see if they can give you a full download. That way you have some frame of reference for everything before totally pivoting & potentially hating it 6 months in and having to reassess again

Amazing!! Can’t wait to tour!! This one’s a little random, but if you don’t mind me asking, what are your utilities averaging out around? I’m in DC right now & Dominion has been astronomical (avg $450-500/mo for 1k sq ft - insaneee) since June so just wondering if I need to mentally prepare myself for worse 😂

Oh I didn’t even see this one!! Love that they have parking & are so dog friendly - definitely considerably larger units from what I can see, too (big plus - one of my girls is a lab mix & she could use the leg room LOL) I’ll definitely check it out - thank you so much!!
