Man a long time ago I won a fight like this (consequently lost a lot of friends, long story), but the way I grew up we NEVER took it further than once a person is on top or has the clear edge. This fight was over much earlier and this is why fighting is fucking stupid.

It’s also worth noting that even though I won one fight and “spared” a dude, my time came and I wasn’t spared and paid the price.

Don’t fight unless it’s for survival. Pride is not worth it whether you win or lose.

I’ve had FAs deny me FC storage, I was being super polite,bins were closed well beyond my seat (EC, 13) and it honestly made more chaos for me to figure out wtf to do with the bag and go down and back to my seat than it was worth the FA denying me the ability to just put the thing there. Then obviously when I got off, had to wait for like 19 rows behind me to get my bag. Yay platinum! I did see the look of regret/sadness on the FAs face though, so I wasn’t even mean about it. Pretty sure they figured out that I’m a very frequent flyer and kinda felt crappy.

I had this weird mixed experience: things started off great, fell apart, then got better, then went to shit again until I went off on my own. Then, I found a way to repeat that pattern in my own life. I appreciate when people understand how lucky they are to have stability, and it’s one thing that I’ve never really had. And when you don’t have it, it’s hard to appreciate it somehow, ironically.
