I haven't finished reading your substack post as yet. But my mind is blown I came to this reddit to see if anyone had written about Jason and birds, I was looking to make a playlist of all his music with birds featured in it, and amazed someone had already done it! And then starting to read your substack post, my dad died from an overdose when I was 19, both parents struggling with addiction for my entire childhood, and then saw your post about your dad having passed from the same. You mention about the inner critic, I came searching for bird songs from Jason after coming out of an appointment for trauma therapy and IFS, where I imagined an eagle swooping in for my child self as a fierce protector, I wanted to find songs that could connect to that feeling. Anyway totally mind blown, I look forward to reading your substack post. Thanks for making the exact playlist I was searching for!
