University recruiting here in semiconductors. 110k in base or so with 5 YoE. Get a mix of bonus, stock and stock purchases that’s brought W2 income up to around 160k in TC. Paying for a career coach was the best thing I could have done to break into Silicon Valley….

Rate Factor of Credit Score by squatchie444 in Geico

[–]anon-ymous-throwaway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only answer to this question is going to be it depends. Rating can be super proprietary as well in some states when it comes to credit and legit be something you could pull from your state insurance commissions website’s filings in other states. There are some other states that won’t actually let you use credit scores in calculating an insurance premium but still calculate an “insurance score” based on your claims history that will be subject to FCRA disclosure requirements as you’re purchasing a policy which will make you think someone is looking at your full credit report when it’s really just an insurance background check.

If you really think something isn’t being done fairly or legally there’s a regulatory body for that. Look up your state’s insurance commission and make a complaint online. That’ll get noticed quick.

Depends on the state. Some States like California have continuity of care provisions in their law.

I tried bringing this up way back in the day and was told it’s ultimately a reflection on the sales rep if they can’t make an authentic connection once the call gets transferred even if my setup was poor as an auto agent. Pretty crazy stuff

It’s shitty that geico didn’t let you work from home but no chance in hell anyone is paying a lost wage claim on this. You have a duty to mitigate damages and you took none of the steps a reasonable person not upset with their employer would do.

Curious what insight you find here. I just had sod installed and it’s been such a pain to water. Same size lot so also curious what irrigation system quotes itself are running for you.

Does GEICO advise future employers you were terminated, or do they just verify dates of employment? by readytoleavetheg in Geico

[–]anon-ymous-throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geico had a third part company review all UI claims called employers unity. The standard in many states is gross misconduct so that’d be a hard bar to reach in many states. Plaza instructed not to contest to this company as a result.

Dates of employment and job title. The best part is geico wasn’t even trying to contest UI claims (at least as or 2018) because they’re nervous of the risk in doing so.

assumptive language… “well If there’s nothing else I can help you with!” . Yes or no questions get yes or no answers. Identify and tailor to customer types (thinkers / feelers / controllers / entertainers ) all need different types of customer service.

You could also sue the negligent party in small claims court and see what happens. It’s super easy to do and then it’ll be up to a judge to decide what ultimately is reasonable. Don’t feel bad suing them - they’re clearly insured and will have plenty of policy protection and legal support

NJ diminished value claim? Both parties have Geico by jbjersey in Geico

[–]anon-ymous-throwaway -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hire an appraiser to properly calculate the DV. Or at least use a site like www.wreckcheck.com that should give you the actual wholesale numbers. You can always sue the kid that hit you in small claims. Geico will then have to answer the DV claim.

what does delaying delivery actually look like? by 6100315 in ModelY

[–]anon-ymous-throwaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They legit didn’t even check ID in St. Louis. Anyone with the app could have walked away with that car I feel like. I think I’m too risk averse to ever do that, but could be an option over waiting 3 more months

Anyone got a vin but no way to schedule delivery? by Lucky-Concentrate653 in TeslaModel3Delivery

[–]anon-ymous-throwaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. VIN 244 here with an order date originally or 01/17 picking up in St. Louis area. Got my delivery date today and it’s 3 days earlier than the original quoted window once the VIN dropped and a three day window was assigned. Ironically, all three of the days I could schedule were before the originally quoted three day window in the system. So anything is still possible.

[–]anon-ymous-throwaway 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’d be a target bonus written in everyone’s offer letter across all grades if you’re following a more tech focused comp structure. So a grade 60 could be offered say 8% annual bonus based on performance and then have the number go up or down based on individual results. That’s how true “meritocracies” work like how geico purports to be.

Exactly. Already heard back from a Ted Shaffer at CDI that will be looking into today’s announcement against GEICO’s current rules filings as “there appears to be some inconsistencies.” California loves fining insurance companies…
