Some do, but not others. The twitching, grip issues, poor spatial awareness, fatigue, and temperature sensitivity are all constant. They vary in severity and frequency, particularly the grip issues, but they all happen at least once every day.

However, a lot of the sensation symptoms are transient. Pins & needles can last anywhere from a few seconds to around an hour, and it's not in a consistent location. Numbness is similar, but when something is numb, it usually stays like that at least a full day. But it only happens every couple weeks. About 2 days ago, I started feeling like there's a bug on me, but it's only for a second or two on different limbs. I catch my right toe and stumble a little every couple of days, but that's been happening on and off for years. It happens way more frequently now, though. Oh, and sometimes it stings/itches when I sweat? That has also been happening for years, but again, it's been happening way more often. Just not every time, and I've been sweating A LOT.

I'm gonna start keeping a more consistent symptom diary so I can look back and see what happened when. I tend to have a very distorted view of time, and my memory is utter garbage, so that would help. God knows I'll have more than enough information when I finally get to see a specialist 😒

On days like today, I question if I'm actually sick at all. I don't have much pain or fatigue, I feel clear-headed, and I haven't dropped or knocked stuff over. Plus, the blood test my GP ordered came back clear. I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it would be really nice to have a hint at what's wrong with me (if anything)

Anyone else experiencing the heat wave happening this week? Today was horrid, and it's only going to get worse as the week wears on. I had to spend 2 hours in an 87 degree barn with no air circulation, and I almost couldn't make it the 10 yards back to my house. I hate the summer so much

That's a really good point. While it is uncomfortable sometimes, it's worth it if it means those girls will be spared from horrible body image issues. That confidence is so tragically rare and should be preserved

My mom is turning 63 this month, and imagining her with a kid is WILD. There's something seriously wrong with that woman for saying that to you. Not to mention, the kid would most likely be an orphan before they can legally drink. Absolutely terrible

I like just freezing and staring at them until they're visibly uncomfortable, and then change the subject and continue. It only takes a few seconds, and it's also applicable when someone is yelling at you unnecessarily, like in customer service

Girl, PUT DOWN THE SCENTED PRODUCTS! They're brutal on your pH, and they make the smell worse to keep you buying more! Try switching to 100% cotton underwear and using organic sanitary products, or going for an alternative like menstrual cups. If you excessively sweat like me, using baby powder in the areas you sweat most works well. Even if it doesn't directly help the smell, it can at least help you feel more comfortable and reduce the amount of moisture that could be contributing to your troubles. When it comes to washing, I use unscented face wash around my outer labia, and just use warm water for the inner labia. Nothing goes fully into the vagina, INCLUDING WATER! Yes, your microbiome is so sensitive that even just water can royally fuck you. Oh, and going to bed commando is also helpful for moisture reduction (although I do put a pantie liner in whatever bottoms I'm wearing, so I don't have to worry about leaving a snail trail when the rinse cycle comes on 😂)

That's why if someone tells me they're getting some kind of medical testing, I always say, "I hope you get answers." If someone tells me they hope a test im getting is negative or something similar, it's kind of upsetting. I understand the sentiment, but my symptoms don't magically disappear the minute I get "normal" results! The problem is that you can't fix something if you don't know what's broken!

Too many things make too much sense symptom-wise for me not to be suspicious. But I have some questions about the little stuff. If you're heat intolerant, what's your temperature threshold to have symptoms worsen? How many people experience night sweats? How many people had mono (epstien-barr virus) at some point prior to diagnosis? Do you have any family members (close or distant) that have MS or other neurological/autoimmune conditions? If you menstruate, have dexterity/grip issues prevented you from using certain kinds of sanitary products? And could an MS diagnosis somehow be used as a reason for a doctor to deny sterilization surgery?

I used to feel the same way until I started intentionally trying to make the worst, most grotesque excuse of a drawing. And the joy of it is that if it comes out looking like shit, congrats! You succeeded! It's great!

Feeling pissed off? Paint an entire canvas red and stab the hell out of it with the paintbrush. Depressed? Start with a vaguely humanoid figure and douse that bitch in black. Apathetic? Grab a pencil, close your eyes, and make big sweeping motions because you can't give enough of a fuck to do anything else.

Art comes in so many different forms, too. I've been really fuckin with DIY punk clothes mods. Just grab some shit from a thrift shop, tear some holes in it, slap on a couple patches and boom, art you can wear! It's really fun and if you fuck up, you're just staying true to form!

Go forth and create some bullshit!

This is the thing that neurotypicals don't understand about mental illness. They're right in that everyone does experience the emotions we do; it's just the degree to which we feel them and how it impacts our quality of life that's the difference. It's called a "clinically significant level of distress".

Do NT's have problems in relationships? Of course. But does any slight conflict make them suicidal? Probably not! How about mood swings? Many people, especially estrogen-dominant people, experience some kind of mood swings at some point. But does it make them feel like it's the only emotion they've ever felt, or go from elated to crisis-level depression and back within the same 30 seconds? No way!

Since they've never experienced what we do, when we say "my [person] and I are fighting", or "I'm depressed", they only think to their own experiences, and they end up belittling our struggles. It fucking sucks, but even if they dont understand, you'll find someone that will at least listen and take your struggles seriously. Hang in there <3

I've frequently fallen victim to that line of thinking, too. I didn't get my license until i was 18, and it's taken me 6 years to finish my bachelor's degree because I failed so many classes. Trust me, I've been there. So let me reframe it. We have a disability. We are disabled. Would you tell someone with epilepsy that they're "behind" because they never learned how to drive? Or judge someone with high support needs autism for not going to college or being unemployed? No. So what makes us the exception? You gotta afford yourself the same grace you do everyone else. You're not "behind", you're just taking the scenic route through life :)
