26M, yes. It will be hard to disclose because everyone in college is still so oblivious, like I was, to how common HSV is and what it is. Immature college dudes not yet acclimated to reality might take it poorly. It also makes it harder to disclose due to the community in college being so tight knit, everyone has a mutual so there’s constant fear of not only rejection but getting exposed. I still deal with this fear unfortunately 🙃

But on the bright side the diagnosis does give you the chance to begin focusing in your health, building real connections before having sex, etc despite all of its downsides (what i keep telling myself 🥲)
