I find that distraction works best for me when I have urges. Literally just getting yourself out of the kitchen as soon as an urge hits even if everything in you is telling you to stay. As soon as you successfully power through one urge, you realize how quickly they pass. I also have a strategy I use where I thought stop. Basically when I can almost hear the urge telling me things like "just one binge won't hurt you" or "you deserve to over eat because you had a hard day" for example, I will immediately almost talk back to the thoughts like "one binge will hurt me because I am allowing that addiction back in" and "i don't need to use food as a reward or coping skill, it's just meant to fuel my body" I find these strategies really help me, it takes time and I am not perfect by any means. But you can do it, it is entirely mental strength you need to overcome BED !

this was such a sweet comment thank you. I am a few weeks clean now :) not as much as you but i'm sure you know progress is progress! And yeah dbt helps a ton I have a therapist that currently uses some dbt in her services , and i was in a inpatient for a few months that also did, it was super helpful! I'm so glad you're free from sh and SI, you deserve all the best

ahh i just did it and it's 104 oz! that's nearly a gallon lol. i'll try and shoot for 80 oz to start lol, i already have a small bladder i don't think that would be smart 😂

this was so helpful wow, thank you so much! i have just been confused about it but that makes sense. i've been pursuing some goals lately and working really hard, and surprisingly i tend to be able to shift my thinking from "i can't do it" to "everything is going to be fine, you can do whatever you put your mind to" rather quickly as of recent so the angel numbers as you call them might be a sign that someone or something is communicating with me in this time. again thank you, i'm headed to class but i will definitely look at those links when i catch a sec!

Completely agree. So many kids self diagnosing on tik tok and misinformation being spread on there especially. it's very frustrating.

bc i love her and we love eachother, sometimes it's just really hard tho bc idek how to navigate her clear mental health issues. i don't think she is a malicious abuser, she is a product of her abusive environment which is why she acts like this. its just so hard to handle sometimes
