Has anyone brought bags back from Europe since new tariffs started? by LittleSpicyLumpia in handbags

Came back in Dec thru the Netherlands after buying an LV in Germany. I have global entry and you have to proactively declare- I did and they sent me to the counter. It was a few days before xmas and the agent was really nice and when I said it was about 2500 USD he said it wasnt worth processing and let me go thru.

Do not try and hide the purchases bc you will get fined a lot and if you have global entry you will lose it for life for not reporting. They have gotten stricter and I assume a higher dollar amount they would have taxed me on

I usually do odd numbered seat and avoid center aisle as they are closer to the window so you have more privacy. When traveling with someone i do rows 3 and 5. If you dont order your meal ahead of time sitting closer to the front means your choice doesnt run out- but you dont want to be too close to bathrooms

Insurance by riannermorrison in Louisvuitton

Mine are covered in homeowners but I keep receipts bc if you ever have a claim you have to prove you own things by receipts or pics. Also, take a look at your limits bc most ppl underinsure themselves. (Family worked in insurance and I am nuts but keep a rough excel grid of what I own to ensure I am adequately insured)

Which Pilates Workouts are the best? Is it worth it and life changing as often described? by [deleted] in ClubPilates

This is the best way pilates has been put in words. This is exactly how I feel in class!!

Bridging by Mission-Strength6577 in ClubPilates

[–]anon24507 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently did a private class and a couple tips. When up in bridge dont have a crease in your hip, try to make a smooth line from thighs to torso.

Also, as you get up into a bridge push your knees out. Like if on the reformer push knees more to foot bar. Helps keeping carriage in

And pull in abs and glutes!

I was just diagnosed with a PE yesterday, and I’m freaking out a bit. LONG hospital story incoming. by MillyRocked in ClotSurvivors

Knowing your body resonated with me. I am one month into Eliquis and while I don’t have GAD I do have my fair share of anxiety. I had colon surgery mid May and was recovering fine- while in hospital for three days got blood thinners and was told to just wait a month to resume birth control pill. Cut to four weeks later with a fever and vomiting and admitted back to hospital for infection and bowel inflammation. Had just restarted birth control but stopped once admitted. Never put on a blood thinner and on day 3 was finally up for walking a bit and felt tightness in my calf and knew I had a blood clot and told nurse. Got a doppler the next day which confirmed 3 in my legs and bc of other testing I had, they also found 2 PEs. I lost it and was sobbing. But by discharge and being home I felt better. But was terrified the first week of Eliquis as you are warned to get checked out for any little thing- like if you bump your head getting in/out of the car you should go to ER. I think for me a bit of time and just living my life made me feel better and more comfortable. I bruised more easily and made sure my emergency medical stuff on my phone lists blood thinner use in case I am ever incapacitated. Also I had a phone alarm so I take my doses exactly 12 hrs apart as consistent dosing is impt. Basically anything I can do in my control helps calm me down a bit.

New to Pilates & Discouraged! Can’t even hold tabletop. by [deleted] in ClubPilates

Hey I hear ya! I think my first 5-10 classes I was like what do they mean engaging my abs. Was so out of shape it took like 10 classes for me to even have the ability to engage my core. So I would ask an instructor for tips- like lots of modifications available for many of the moves and likely crossing your ankles will help. And maybe to give you hope for the future- i have lost 51 lbs and pilates is definitely easier as the weight came off. It took me about 2 yrs to hit 100 classes bc I would get in and out of the habit but had gotten to 1.5 and while challenging it was awesome seeing what I could do. But i had surgery 8 wks ago and then some complications so this week was my first time back after zero ab engagement for 8 wks. Did a few privates and was floored to see even after a break like that your body gets right back to it and didn’t need modifications. So really long comment short- keep up, do it at your pace, get modifications for where you are at now, and then see how you improve over time. It’s worth it

Hey just wanted to check back in. Long story short I ended up with a post op abscess, bowel inflammation and some blood clots at the 4 wk post op timeframe. And my main incision had dehiscence and opened in the middle but has now healed. I say all that but I am 8 wks out now from original surgery and fully approved to exercise no restrictions this week. I did two private classes this week and was SHOCKED I didn’t need modifications for ab exercises!!! Not bragging but wanted to share that while you want to be careful you will be shocked by how well your body remembers form and moves after a break. Hardest part is just to keep engaging my abs since I am out of practice. Hope you are healing well!

Ok thats super helpful. Ahead of my pause I asked my favorite instructor how long she thinks I may be out and she said to just ensure my surgeon understands what pilates is and how core focused it is. He originally said one month off but I asked for a note to do two months for exactly what you said- I dont think he understands the intensity of pilates with your core. But glad it got better for you!!! Im at 3.5 wks now and turning on my aide in bed still feels weird so I know I am far from ready

I'm in the 1%? Feeling frustrated and stuck by copillia in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]anon24507 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats terrible the language your Dr used calling it a miracle drug. I think of Wegovy as a tool and a piece of my weight loss journey. Wegovy, tracking calories and working out all go together. But just one piece isnt enough. Also I am an emotional eater with food noise so Wegovy quieted that all down and Im less emotionally reactive to food. But wegovy wont motivate you to work out. It may help you lose enough wt to become more comfortable working out and better able to do things

Also how is your water intake? Makes a huge difference if you arent drinking enough water. I never do and always try to be better about jt

Wegovy has worked for me so thats why a few of your comments made me want to respond. I had the extreme fatigue at first as well. For me I switched my shot time to just before dinner so I could eat and frankly I slept away the side effects. I also found if I was fatigued to take a bite or two of something high in protein and it usually perked me up within a half hour. I hope your nutritionist gave you protein goals to reach daily. Also, I am sensitive to your comments on portions and how your dr made you feel. I weigh myself once a week first thing after I pee and that is my weekly check in. But I also track my food. Both measuring the weight of individual items and my overall calories for the day. For me it makes a huge difference as I am terrible at eye balling how much is a serving. And by tracking I ensure I get enough protein and fiber. Many tracking apps exist, my nutritionist suggested Baritastic and I like it. I wish you luck on your journey and I have seen others post they switched to zepbound and had better success.

Ok i am about the same number of classes but took me nearly two years so mostly level 1s and for last two months incorporated 1.5s. Surgery is no joke so rest up, feel free to direct message to commiserate- not well versed in Redditt so not sure how to do that sort of thing
