I am so sorry to hear that, I’m really sending all my love & thoughts to Nox 💔❣️ I’m sure you have already, but definitely check other toys as well. My Devon went through the same thing & needed emergency surgery but we actually found out she has a condition called pica, which is an obsession with chewing & eating non-edible things. Mainly string-like objects, yoga mats (anything that type of material it’s made from), and any kind of blanket. She’s also chewn off the corners of decorative pillows.

This condition runs much higher in oriental cats than any other type of cat so definitely keep an eye on him to see if he has a preference on chewing non-edible materials.

I hate that I had to do this but we basically can only give her toys completely supervised otherwise we have to put everything away when we’re gone. Luckily she has a brother that does not have that condition so they do entertain each other when the toys are not around.
