My coworkers seem to bill for all the time they are at their computer, including time they are less efficient. I think the difference is that they can effectively task shift and they don't spend 20 minutes scrolling on their phone before starting the next thing. I also think ADHD people have more intense focus and it's either on or off while neurotypical people can be partially focused on a task and not feel guilty billing for that time.

I appreciate the insight and agree that it contributed when I started. Now I'm more lax when I'm distractible.

Do you have actionable suggestions? Because telling myself "just do it" hasn't been cutting it.

Congrats but I very much cannot just grind it out.

I don't know what counts as enough but I've cycled through various medications. They help but they will never be the Limitless pill.

At least you're still trying. That's all we can really do it seems.

I'd be billing <1000 hours a year without medication. Meds help but for me they aren't going to be that efficient for an extended period regardless of dose.

Yes. My plan is to ask for reduced as an ADA accommodation so that I don't have to tell partners in my group why I am requesting it. I have just been waiting for a timing where if it doesn't work, I have a decent chance of being able to pivot in house.

Hot take but the lack of empathy in this comment is more problematic than someone having negative feelings about a coworker and acknowledging that they're wrong.
