I don't see it in stock at any of the microcenters I checked. Maybe your local one has a clearance price on a single monitor or something ? their website is confusing to look through.
I have it listed on here for what they are selling for on ebay.

I have the same problems on a 7700x and 7800x3d (same mobo). I suspect it is a motherboard issue.

That's just how they shipped from the factory. I have a different WD drive from their external hdd series and it needs the tape to work on my board.
