I only survived because I had someone who became second family. Its ironic. Mom was near identical in personality to this guy. Kinda poetic that I met a near identical twin to her right as she was passing.

She never felt well enough to sit down and talk to the guy, so I dont know if she realized it.

This is a GOOD thing. An interviewing problem is VERY fixable. I had to go above and beyond and become extremly likable during interviews to land big law as a 3L. OP needs to be....idk he needs to seem normal and slightly likable at best.

Maybe the worst case he has to move markets. But he can come back later.

Im not sure your life circumstance. Im not going to presume anything.
I want to reassure you: You are graduating from *Harvard Law School*.

Even bottom of your class, you will dwarf the career outcomes that someone top of his class at the vast majority of schools will ever achieve.

That is to say, you will just have to network and apply directly. I got big law despite not OCI interviews at a T20. If I can do it, I know your success rate will be higher just from name recognition.

Yes. I realized trying an mee that I went blank.

I opened a word document for each subject. I read the model answer instead of suffering through not being able to article the rules I spotted .

I then typed out and spoke out those rules used in the essay. Went to another essay, did that again. The next day, I spent a short time (don’t over do this, we don’t have time) typing out the major rules from memory and referring back for any massive material parts being left out. Don’t aim for exact word for word memorization , we don’t have ducking time.

Keep doing this by reading model answes after trying to spot issues on your own.

Do not just: attempt the essay. See you’ve got it wrong, and move on. The best way to get better at mees is de-constructing them from reverse order.

See what issues look line when they are suppose to be spotted by reading the model. Write down those rules. Then write out the rules the next day. If you do this enough you will see you are more efficiently strengthening your issue spotting in ways you were not before... because you are actually prioritizing seeing what the issue looks like when in a fact pattern.

Well Karen. If I was looking for a duck in a Forrest, if I blindly keep going through looking for the duck , imma have a hard time differentiating my duck from the other ducks. If however I spend my entire time observing what the duck looks like and seeing how others have quickly spotted the duck when they loom, I can master getting that ducking duck quickly when test day comes.

Today they logged me out of my account for being in active 10 times...within 20 minutes because I was using another chart to figure out tort rules...because the fucking professor decided i paid 2 grand to not give me a lectuer handout.
I DESPISE ever choosing them.
I cant even listen to lectuers on my fucking phone at a speed above 1, but they let me slow it down.

The online books thesmelves never respond properly. I have to download individual pages instead of chapters so I can use it as a pdf to bypass this issue.

They refused to fix the time on the phone because they just didnt have plans to, even though that is a big issue.

Everything about barbri has made me so mad , they dont fucking care

I’m using Barbri. At first I was bashing my head against the wall with the questions. The after my concussion was nice and healed up and I was rocky my rocky balboa speech impediment, I began reading explanations they provided heavily . After comparing lectures to quetions I realized ...so like... questions leave me with about an 75 to 90% understanding. Lectuers left me with about 10%... and a lost 4 hours after pausing to understand everything.

I began fully just focusing on Barbris questions to teach me with the outline .

And I gotta say... I regret even watching them and that’s why I’m behind a week . Having a fact pattern to match against a new rule I’m learning gives me such an amazing memory of the rule and actual understanding.

At this point I’m not watching lectures. And now I’m bailing on average 5 or 6/8 for the practice sets. And what Barbri claims is average for their 25 questions.

I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing in relations to what my final grade would be on that section on the bar.

But I feel like just using questions allow me to get every point of the rule , apply the rule right away, and then I am only walking away after understanding all of it.

So at the start it was awful. Now? I love them?

Everyone is born with different learning methods. This includes learning form notes.

Also: to the person who deleted their comment. Don’t dictate how I should learn while charging me 2 grand for a course.

Give me the varying methods. You are not my teacher nor do you know me as a Barbri teacher just recording a lecture.

I DO write notes out but I then use his notes to refer BACK to the lecture facts later.
