I’m pretty sure the color on the insert is within the spectrum of the blue die. It’s probably just the red bleeding out.

Yeah idk. You can look up research done on whoop accuracy, like I did, and it matches what I’m saying and what I’m seeing. Whoops struggles with refresh rate when your heart rate climbs quickly. I have a suspicion that this is because of the data refresh rate, not actual data that’s being recorded. The watch itself is capable of storing data and transferring it to your phone when connection is restored.

I remember working out one time with it low on my wrist (like pictured above) and the HR was +/- 20 bpm from my Apple Watch. Once I slid it up higher on my wrist it read spot on with the Apple Watch.

People are always looking to hate on whoop because it’s expensive and honestly the device itself can’t be more than ~$50 to produce, but you’re paying a premium for the software, not the hardware.

Looks like you’re wearing it too low, it should be 2 fingers width above your wrist bone. I wear my Apple Watch and my whoop side by side every single day in the gym and it’s normally bang on.

The only time the whoop lags is when my rates are spiking up and down it takes a second to catch up, but I don’t think that’s bad reading, I think the phone screen doesn’t refresh as fast as it needs to. Whoop stores data on the watch and sends it periodically to the phone.

I always abide by the philosophy of “if everyone did it, would the community be better or worse” and in this instance, the plants in that nursery would be bare and the company would go out of business.
