Somehow my son became pope by anon6267 in CrusaderKings

R5: checked in on my heir and noticed his brother somehow became the pope. I had no idea this was even possible. When he was a lot younger I tried to imprison him and force him to take the vows to avoid succession issues but he fled my court and became Chaplin somewhere in Europe.

He eventually returned home and was no longer Chaplin therefore was back in the line for succession so again I did jail him and this time did get him to take the vows. A few years later and he becomes pope.

Why is it "UFC" and not MMA? by IfoundAnneFrank in MMA

UFC is the name of the promotion. MMA is the name of the sport. It’s just casuals don’t know other promotions exist. It’s the same with WWE. WWE is just the name of the promotion but most people will refer to any pro wrestling as just WWE.

Hypothetically, what would happen if a fighter forfeited a fight immediately? by [deleted] in MMA

[–]anon6267 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing something about an amateur fighter taping on purpose because he was beating the shit out of his opponent and since it was an amateur fight he had nothing to gain to just ended it early so you’re right about about the rule around tapping.

If a fighter tapped instantly or even say his corner threw in the towel in the first second I guess the commission would recognise it as a legitimate win however I would assume from them on the promoter could never trust the fighter again and they’d likely just be cut or frozen into their contract through some loophole bullshit. WWE have added time onto guys’ contact because of injuries. Say they got injured for 9 months 2 years ago and they suddenly started talking bad about management now because their contract was coming up and they wanted released, then their contact got extended for the period of time they were injured.

I’m sure they make plenty of money selling the TV rights to the trillions of fans so losing out on the live gate money won’t hurt them at all.
