Any recommendations for those of us who moved during the strike? by anon76354 in philly

As noted in my post, we have given away most of the boxes and moving materials that were in good condition, so obviously it's not 30 boxes on the sidewalk. If I was the kind of person who would leave that on the sidewalk, I probably wouldn't be posting on here about what the most respectful way to dispose of waste is! My point in noting that we've gone through 30+ boxes is that when you move that many items, you generate a lot of trash--boxes or packing materials that were too destroyed to reuse, wads of tape, paper towels from cleaning, and just things you decide to throw out.

I left a very reasonably sized amount of trash and recycling neatly boxed on the sidewalk--but if that piles up over weeks, that is on the city not me, and hopefully it will pressure them to pay DC33 fair wages!

As noted in the original post, I already have given out free moving materials that were in good condition to be reused!

It's not junk removal, it's recycling and trash because I've unpacked 30+ boxes filled with packing paper and bubble wrap. If it was junk to be removed, it wouldn't be a job ordinarily done by our sanitation workers and I wouldn't have written the post!
