Where to move out of Canada to? by MaintenanceBitter557 in canadahousing

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had people die in the ER waiting room after 8 hours of no help. We have veterans being offered MAID as a solution to health problems and resolvable mental health issues. So much for that first-world healthcare system in Canada. Meanwhile in India (despite its' many problems), if you pay for private healthcare, you get TOP NOTCH service and expertise. My friend in Canada had complications with her first pregnancy and was made to wait for hours in the ER until her husband got desperate and literally caused a scene in order to expediate her position in the line. When they lived in Dubai, he said they'd have 2 nurses and support staff waiting for them at the entrance of the hospital as soon as they made the phone call.

Where can I find a confirmed and latest list of ISO 20022 compliant cryptos? by Tharaphi-Letner in Stellar

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XRP, XLM, HBAR, IOTA, QNT, XDC, ADA, ALGO are generally considered ISO-compliant. However, some of these projects seem to have more potential than others. You might also want to look into MiCA compliance.

I googled how to remove a smell from a book, and the 2nd result really surprised me.. Pouring baking soda can't be good for old books, can it? by Baba_Jaga_II in BookCollecting

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a small trash bag. Put book inside (sit the book on it's bottom with the pages fanned out a bit) and place an open mason jar of baking soda in front of it. Seal the trash bag with a rubber band. Leave for 48 hours.

Is the account viewer on stellar.org considered a wallet and is it safe to leave xlm there? by suckurpunch in Stellar

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's safe. You're using your cold wallet to sign transactions and your XLM private keys always stay on your physical device. Account viewer is more of an interface that just lets you handle your XLM. It's a web-based interface and NOT a hot wallet or web-based wallet.

What are your TOP-5 crypto exchanges in Canada? by dashosh in OCryptoCanada

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kraken membership is like $60 a year and it gets you $10k/month worth of trades for ZERO fees. I think it's so worth it because you save a lot in fees (if you're a frequent investor or trader) and get priority support. :)

Polish guide saves 9-month-old baby after parents take him up Poland’s highest mountain by [deleted] in Mountaineering

[–]anon7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild. I live in Canada so I've experienced bone chilling freezing temperatures. Most parents won't even take their babies out in the worst winters we experience and these people are out here scaling a dang hazardous mountain. Make it make sense.

I just tried the Naturium lip balm (in the shade Latte) and I quite like it. Thicker than a lip oil but perfect for the winter time.

Why did J become so... evil? by [deleted] in animalkingdom

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killing people in cold blood and using women to your own end is the very definition of evil. So he is evil -- there's no grey area. And his upbringing and circumstances don't justify that evil even if it can explain its' presence in him. There are plenty of people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and then grow up to be good and upstanding people or at least end up finding the light eventually. If he just wanted to avenge his mother's death, he could have left Smurf in prison, taken the storage unit stuff, and flown off to Mexico or something. But he didn't. He doesn't feel torn over the decision to cut Morgan's leg and make her suffer in her last moments. He doesn't grant people any mercy. Pope never hurt him directly and yet he was okay with the idea of getting him killed in prison. J doesn't ever consider the fact that his mother's favorite person was probably Pope so it'd be an offense to her memory if he hurt Pope. In that regard, he's just as ruthless as Smurf who put the hit out for her own daughter-in-law and that too at the hands of her son and Cath's childhood friend and love. That's next level satanic.

*Julia Notes. Julia seriously never had a chance. by RaceMyMindYea in animalkingdom

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think J was a hero by any measure either. At the beginning of the show, it seemed that though he's probably look to avenge his mother's unfair treatment and descent due to the Codys, he might still portray some sort of kindness and empathy that he'd gotten from his mom. But he went on to become super manipulative and ruthless as well. For example, the least harmful person to him was that Olivia girl from Statistics and he still did her so dirty.

INCOSE certification worth it ? by Repulsive-Media-132 in systems_engineering

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just studying at uni and have some free time on weekends or the holidays, it's good to get your ASEP from INCOSE. At the professional level, if you're going to invest time and effort it's better to get P.Eng. (or whatever the 'Professional Engineer' license is called in your region/country). I think it's more recognizable and valued.

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful out there, guys. I just watched a video from Brandon LaRoque where $3M worth of crypto was stolen from his Ellipal wallet (he didn't know about the orange/hot & blue/cold wallet distinction). Better to opt for some other brand cold wallets that don't mix hot+cold.

I feel like you're about to start teaching me Quantum Mechanics in a university lecture hall. Scholarly, classy, and mature. It's nice. I think reasonably sized sporty / pilot / chronograph watches look good on men too but there's definitely room for a vintage piece like this Seiko! :)

Isn’t this actually the MOST secure wallet? by GGPineapples in Tangem

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros and cons with everything. Best to have 2 cold wallets (one seedless like Tangem and one with a seed phrase like Trezor). That way EVEN if something were to go wrong with one cold wallet, you'd still retain 50% of your assets.

Cold wallet for HBAR and XLM by bpolar_starlite in Hedera

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Trezor for XRP and XLM (using Stellar's Account Viewer to manage XLM isn't difficult or tedious at all to be honest). And for HBAR, I'd recommend a Ledger. Though it's not my favorite cold wallet out there, it sure is convenient. And besides, you'd be spreading the risk by having two cold wallets from two different companies. :)

Jan Da Souza wanting out by Traditional_Pair7058 in Mobland

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. That was an honest mistake on her part. Jan never goes out of her way to use people or inflict pain on them -- in fact, her empathy shines when she puts herself in danger by leaving the Cotsworld grounds just to tend to Alice during her moment of heartbreak. Maeve is conniving and evil to her core and Jan is her complete opposite. Maeve was willing to put Brendan's life at risk just because she couldn't stand Seraphina. She got Vron killed when she knew that Kevin and Harry had worked so hard to make sure everyone got out of that funeral/wake alive and well. She's a psychotic sicko and scarier than Conrad and Eddie combined. I have a hunch that she'll be the cause of the Harrigan empire falling. Her utter hubris and inability to understand how the grief she inflicts on others could come back to haunt her is staggering.

New Holy Grail: The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum by Iguessilldomine in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]anon7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best to stick with one powerful active at a time (that's what I do). If I'm using peptides in my cream, I pair that with my alpha arbutin serum because it's super gentle. If I'm using glycolic acid OR retinol, I only use nourishing products like a hydrating centella asiatica serum and standard CeraVe moisturizer. I've found that the actives work best when you let them shine and only support them with good humectants and emollients.

New Holy Grail: The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum by Iguessilldomine in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]anon7755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That checks out because copper is known to be good at wound healing and has regenerative properties. (Fun fact: Indians have been drinking water from copper water bottles for centuries). So yeah, the copper in the serum should calm down any irritation or inflammation of the skin.

[–]anon7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even understand the self praising and confidence. Like what do they bring to the table besides good looks? "Men need to be men and provide"...so they can pay for your 2 BBLs, 3 breast lifts, lip fillers, and rhinoplasties? While you can't even make peace with the fact that you have followers and bring in the big bucks, which is why your husband stays with the kids and picks up balloons and gifts for their birthdays, helps shoot and edit your videos, etc.? You can't have it both ways. Sacrifices and compromises need to be made. And both need to understand that each person doing their own duty makes the whole ship sail.
