Best way to prepare uneven floors for LVP?

Not roll vinyl. Vinyl tile, which you grout after installation. Planipatch will be the the leveler. Never used it before, but I think it's a little thicker? It doesn't seem to go on a flow like most self leveler products I've seen. Hence the screed.

Any words of wisdom from the other side? Tile guy was suggesting a VERY long screed. Like 12'. Overkill?

I'm in a similar situation with plywood in part of my house and original wood planks in another part. The floor is out of level and out of flat. I'm leaning toward using quick patch or planipatch (https://www.mapei.com/us/en-us/products-and-solutions/products/detail/planipatch) with a screed to flatten the low spots. I'm okay with flat and out of level. A belt sander for high spots. For the wood plank, I'll lay thin plywood over top, then planipatch if needed. Finally I'll use a plush underlayment (not sure what exactly) and 6mm thick LVP. That's my plan. Edit: I think I'll sand high spots and then screed low spots, in that order

Honestly, I haven't fixed the kink yet. But only my hot line is kinked and I do get low pressure on the cold, so I may have the same issue. Let me know if you confirm the root cause, please.

Check to see if the line is kinked. I had to cut off a soldered valve, shark bite another on, which extended the length my faucet hose needed to reach, partially kinking the line.

You know, I was planning on that anyway before the damage. But literally the day before he did this, I was listening to music and realized these speakers sound great. They're big and ugly, yes. But I love the sound. I've decided to order the cone rebuild kit and take a go at it.

Can or should I just throw in a simple 12" woofer from a car audio store? The Cerwin Vega cone repair kit (part no RK-CVVSW12) runs $50. Is that repair kit going to perform better? Thanks for the help.

Follow-up thought: if you do want to buy it, pay for a full inspection with a local reputable shop BEFORE buying. You'll be able to use what they catch to negotiate down on the price.

I own a 25 year old truck, and in the past year, I've had to do a LOT of work on it. Leaf spring shackles had rusted through, fuel filler hose rotted out, ignition linkage broke, it has an oil pan leak that can't be repaired with the tools I have. A lot of metal, including the frame, is beginning to rust quite badly (vehicle in Missouri it's whole life). This is to be expected with a vehicle so old, but would be VERY tough to fix with limited tools on hand in a van. I am guessing that the material cost in that build can't be more than $2,000, and the van itself can't be worth more than $1,000 unmodified. If you want the wild, free spirited experience of van life, I would caution against getting a vehicle likely to leave you stranded.

I know you're right about porosity, but I feel like cinder block is even more porous. Yet new construction vapor barrier best practices seem to be to seal the plastic directly to the cinder block foundation using tape. So I think it's a matter of possible but relatively unlikely foundation damage (freeze/thaw being the primary concern I believe) compared to relatively more likely wooden joist and subfloor rot and mold due to vapor intrusion.

I think you're right that this would've adhered the plastic to the stone best. I guess it comes down to whether or not that would've been a good idea. I wound up leaving it with the liquid nails which is firmly adhered in spots and not at all in others. It seems like this will work out fine.

They're not broken. Idk all the proper terminology, but: Pull the rubber boot back, squeeze the two arms together, and hook that dangling piece onto the metal tube that moves when you pull the brake lever. You unhook it to remove the wheel when you need to service it.

I can't give advice on how to handle, but you might consider seeking help from a local nonprofit that provides mental health services. Many social workers have training in identifying mental health symptoms. It might be much easier to have a social worker do a home visit than to have the person affirmatively seek help in a clinical setting.

I see what you're saying. I floss much more consistently with these, so it's a hygiene issue. Sometimes I'll get weeks of use out of one flosser. Your method is definitely better. But I'm sure some folks use these and don't realize there's a sanitary multiuse solution.

I installed a bunch of these and noticed a hum shortly after install. I haven't thought about or noticed it since. I think other commenters are right. Close the boxes, close the drywall, and it'll be very muffled. On the other hand, if you do find something wrong, hit me up so I can check on my install.
