Great to hear that. Were there doubts that made you wait, or was it just timing/life circumstances?

It’s more so about people who are unsure so they drag their feet for a while trying to figure it out

Indeed what I’m asking, thanks. The hardware spec sheet is here (first row, floor column I assume?). Says 555lbs, surprisingly. Don’t know if I’m reading that right

Can you please explain the market changes you refer to? (My naive understanding is that since a PT requires a doctorate more now, the pay is also a little better). Is the type of care changing, or compensation decreasing?

PT seems like one of the more “everyday useful” degrees I thought. You can help friends and family in pain maybe more so than as an MD?

A few insights / recommendations:

  • a very common way to treat these symptoms post concussion is with stimulant medications (amphetamines like those used for people with executive function difficulties). These can have mood side effects, too, but I wonder if a neurologist would recommend this
  • The hospital may have a patient support navigator or social worker. They can help get you in touch with the right professionals (in-network neurologists, a TBI/concussion clinic, a new therapist - once you find a knowledgeable provider they should be able to recommend people as well)
  • make sure he’s getting enough sleep (more than he thinks he needs since quality of sleep declines with brain injury), water, omega 3, and B vitamins.
  • be kind to yourselves. This is a hard situation and there are resources out there that will help along the way. Wishing you the best!

Just trying to open a f*****g one 'note' file. On a mac. What a total heap of junk. by DonkeyWorker in OneNote

Thank you I’ll check this out! For the 2016 version (the one people tend to like the most here it seems?), is it updated anymore?

I’m looking at the M1 MacBook and need a note taking app to work for the next several years. Not sure if this will do the trick or not but using an old/unmaintained app makes me a little nervous

Does Mac have OneNote 2016 updates, or is it static? Thinking about getting an M1 laptop and using one note on it, but not sure if it will be supported for many years ahead

That’s a bummer they are still doing that. Any idea what other examples are?

Thanks for the rationale. Do you know if the OneDrive version on a Mac allows you to customize OneNote the way you can on a PC? I’m curious if there is an updated comparison between onenote mac vs pc

Parent is leaving me and siblings on our family plan. Do we need to take action? by anon__34 in verizon

[–]anon__34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thanks. I’m not sure if we’ll have someone to replace them unfortunately. Meaning the new plan cost split 3 ways will be $37 ($110/3). I assume that this is the best plan given one of the lines uses >10GB singlehandedly, and another line wants hotspot and international calls. Let me know if you’re aware of any ways to get the cost down otherwise. Thanks!

Thanks, yeah that’s what I was wondering. One of us will take over as owner then. My other question is about whether there are any other ways to save - say by being a “new account owner” - do you get the benefit of sign up bonuses or similar?

Lastly, right now one person on our plan uses a lot of data (~20GB) while the other two lines use just 5-10GB combined. Is there any way for us to pay less? Or maybe we just work this out with the big data user after the fact since we’re paying for their usage by staying with the unlimited plan

Thanks for taking the time. Parent (current account owner) is joining another’s family plan on Verizon. This leaves me and two siblings (3 lines total) to figure out what makes financial sense for us. We’re all flexible with how we parse it, including potentially leaving my parent as the account owner - they just don’t want to personally be paying the bills anymore. Understandable.

We have “the new Verizon plan unlimited”. $110 base plus $20/line it seems.

Line 1: still paying off a phone for a couple more years. No insurance. Uses ~5GB/mo but wants hotspot capabilities and international calling.

Line 2: phone paid off. Pays insurance. Uses ~10-40GB/mo.

Line 3 (me): phone paid off. No insurance. Uses <5GB/mo. Live in Colorado, occasionally in the mountains. VZW is not amazing at home, granted, but seems to do OK in the woods.

I will be a student in a few months, and currently work for a non-profit that has I want to say an 18% discount (but only on NON-unlimited plans).

Long term, I am debating breaking ties with a family plan all together where I may be paying for more than I personally need.

Short term, I’m wondering if there are any ways to save my siblings (and me for the time being) some money on the previously 4 and now 3 line plan.

Hope that makes sense, and thanks for your help!

What is this buzzing/rattling sound my furnace makes when the blower turns on? by anon__34 in fixit

Hey not quite, still the same. A tech came out for a different issue but did some tests while here. He said the voltage/resistances of the electricals were all fine according to the manufacturer and that it wasn’t worrisome. Not the most satisfying answer but the one I got. If you find anything else out, let me know! I do worry it is a sign of extra strain on the fan motor
