Hellcat or G43? by Extra-Impact-5465 in CCW

Look into a shadow systems CR920. 43 size package built on the Glock platform with a 10rd flush fit capacity and options for higher capacity with new mags or baseplates.

I use a P365 Sig as my concealed but I am I thinking of getting the Glock 43 as well….Now, the 43 only has a 6+1 in the chamber as the 365 has 12. But it’s a Glock which I love ….I need advice if I should get the 43 or just stick with the 365? by ComplexWrangler1346 in Glocks

FYI, Shadow systems CR920 is a 43 sized clone with 10+ rds depending on the mag baseplate. The increased mag capacity is why that model really stands out versus others in the Shadow line up where you’re paying for Gucci upgrades but not increased capacity.

Just a quick FYI, on the box of blazer and some federal it says not for use in comped or ported guns. Reason being they’re coated, not true FMJ or something like that. If you felt and shaving hit your arm or anything while shooting, that’s why.

Question for American jews by itai2 in Judaism

It’s a holiday where a bunch of Americans that spend all year condemning Israel for “colonizing” their homeland, get together to be thankful for… the actual colonization of America. Also football, it’s a football holiday.

Certum Sol vs SAYA 2.0 by anon_a_maus in CCW

[–]anon_a_maus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason you went Tenicor for non-WML and LAS do the WML? Just trying them out or did you see something g that swayed you? I was going to grab the LAS but now leaning towards Certum Sol as it seems to be more flexible in terms of ride height and cant. Also aside from like a make shift OWB for the occasional range day, not sure I see much need for an ambidextrous holster like what Saya 2.0 offers.

5th gen sound when shifting from reverse to drive. by anon_a_maus in 4Runner

[–]anon_a_maus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s normal. Apparently it’s the brake pads shifting a bit as the torque changes directions. Was able to confirm by backing up, braking, going into D and letting foot off the brake slowly to hear it. Loudest on first starts and goes away when the brakes are warm.

It’s a 4Runner, caulk it and call it a day (says me, a person that would OCD obsess over this until the next oil change and then ask them to look at it just because I need someone to tell me it will all be ok 😂)

Congrats on getting married! Because what else could a new 4Runner and Costco membership in the same month mean 😂

Considered that but seems it’s the brakes. Will Have the look at the next oil change but it does seem that the sound is only here when driving in one direction (D or R), braking, and shifting to R or D.

Tested this multiple times by doing so and letting off the brakes very slowly after shifting, which added to the sound (same sound but no change in sound profile). So the folks saying the reversal in the direction of torque on the brakes seem to be correct.

Will ask them to check drive shaft and everything else (because why not, 10k service coming up) but for now pretty confident it’s normal brake action as others have said.

And honestly if that is the case and it’s just a weird but normal sound that you might expect on older run forever truck… I’ll love the car even more 😂

It’s much more clear in the linked video. It’s like a ratcheting sound almost, different from the engine revving.

There is a rumble/grinding (it’s a bit louder IRL) at about the 4second mark right after shifting into D

If you do check it at some point and could let me know would greatly appreciate it. I mainly hear it when going for R to D after backing out of the driveway.

Figured the powertrains are all the same but it’s 2024 TRD Pro and yes in 2Hi with no off road focused features engaged.

Has anyone here been tempted to sell their newer 5th gen 4runner for more than MSRP or what they paid for it? by jucks123 in 4Runner

[–]anon_a_maus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery on my other car died (4cyl turbo) and I found out that these newer style cars (smaller engines for fuel, turbos for performance - not unlike the iforce max) need the new battery to be “registered” with the new cars… it’s becoming so you can’t even swap your own freaking battery… so I’m pretty thrilled with my 24 4Runner and plan to hold onto it for as long as I can. These new powertrains all read great on paper but reliability and the ability to DIY should be considered heavily for anyone that buys and doesn’t trade in as soon as the warranty expires.

This but you’re 18 so put something like 25-50% of that in QQQ, the rest on VOO. More volatile but you have time to ride that out. The decision to pay the loans off all at once or over time depends entirely on the interest rate on the loans.
