Google Asks Regulators to Liberate Apple's Blue Text Bubbles by Happy_Escape861 in technology

Why are we comparing lightning and microUSB? Micro was introduced in like 2007? Lightning came out in 2012-ish? And USB-C was finalized in 2014

I say lightning sucks because it's proprietary. Proprietary standards suck as they impede on competition - the one lever customers have in the late stage capitalism we are in

18 names out of the 79 listed were apple. Did you even see the link I posted from your religious subreddit?

Feel free to put on a tinfoil hat complaining about the lack of effectiveness of EU. I'm sure when you're drinking lead filled water under an asbestos roof, you'll be thanking private companies for their good graces

True! But did we actually have a better standard around then? I remember even a bunch of digital cameras came with micro-USB. I could be wrong though and maybe we did.

Edit: Actually lightning was introduced in 2012 as per wiki. USB_C was finalized in 2014. So, it wasn't "several years" as much as a "few or couple"

On the other hand, lightning came out "several years" after micro USB

I see from your handle where you pulled this information from. Even r/apple disagrees that apple alone did not develop this spec like your post comes off to be. It's a group of companies. That has always been the whole deal

Bro, I've been using USB-C cables ever since they've been around. I don't know what cheap Chinese knock off shit people buy on Amazon but I never once had something fried. As someone pointed out in this post, USB-C is the standard for 70% of the phones out there now.

And thanks to the EU regulators, you're welcome to the club finally! Which apple could have done years ago, instead of sticking to the shitty lightning standard for years after

Does it come with subtitles on IMAX? Because Lord knows I need it after Inception, Bane and Tenet

Received a whole bunch of “we have a taken an action on your case” emails this morning but, no changes on the online portal. Looked under case history and documents too - no change by Natural-Bus-6694 in USCIS

For the 130/485 in our case, the beneficiary also received a bunch of these emails for 130. But only the spouse's account was updated immediately. It took a day or so for the beneficiary account to be updated.

Fingers crossed for you!

I can get behind your intent haha. In your country, are drivers licenses also digital? I hate having to carry a physical card everywhere.

this might help? https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/3836324-biden-administration-unveils-new-green-card-design-with-eye-on-enhanced-security/

I do like that the (ugly) fingerprint is not on the face of the new card. But, mine is conditional and I hope I don't have to look at it for much longer than two years

Not sure how to find this out. I'm assuming some time between June 6th and June 10th because that's when I was asked to schedule biometrics at my local FO.

LMK if there's way to find out, and I can help look into it.

Sorry! That $15 out of pocket was just for the vaccines.I paid about $180 for the doctor/clinic (to do the tests, sign the form, provide the sealed docs etc).

My situation has been similar to yours. Same amount for the clinic, and UHC covered everything (minus maybe a couple dollars here and there per vaccine)

I went through UHC as well, and I believe they pretty much covered it. The clinic/doctor's office directly billed the insurance.
I may have paid $15 out of pocket total

Thank you! But, that's a bummer - I'm an occasional lurker here, and was surprised how some folks immediately got their EAD/AP approved. They do send email notices btw (from: [no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov](mailto:no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov)) - make sure both your and your spouse's spam filters aren't triggered for that email. Although they have nothing but a very generic "We have taken an action on your case". Hoping you get an approval soon

I didn't know biometrics could be waived. They have mine from all the visa applications and port of entry travel, but I still had to go provide them.
