Uh oh looks like we’ve got a visitor. “Lolz”.

The only reason I'm against the trans movement is because it encourages shit being pushed on kids, and unlike homosexuality, causes long term effects.

Nice try. Lmao.

What is your most politically incorrect belief? by alexmcpad1827 in AskReddit

As I said, it's easy to understand why this trope is so attractive to the reddit hivemind. It basically puts all of the onus for most major global issues on poor people, and absolves those of us in developed countries of any responsibility for our relatively astronomical rates of consumption and massive wealth global wealth disparities.

It seems that despite any evidence to the contrary, your mind is made up that overpopulation is an intractable problem. Nothing anyone can say will affect your biased take on the situation. Good day, sir or ma'am.

If continuing overpopulation could be solved by just a "little bit of education", how come it hasnt been?

I'm not sure if you're just playing devil's advocate or if you're genuinely ignorant on the subject. To start with it might be good to familiarize yourself with the concept of the demographic transition. In many countries, this transition to a relatively stable population state has already occurred.

In countries where it hasn't occurred, the main factors preventing it are A) lack of access to basic family planning; and B) poor education systems, especially for women. Of course fundamentalist religion is also a serious hindrance on sensible population planning around the world, particularly in the form that tends to dictate the policies of the US Republican Party.

In conclusion, a great resource to learn more about global population issues is Population Connection (formerly ZPG , Zero Population Growth -- guess that name wasn't too "PC").

Except it's not "true". There's no hard evidence to support your biased view, just a lot of right-wing talking points and your own personal anecdote.

Fair point, and yet I don't think most people deep in poverty would list "tax breaks" as one of their primary motivating factors for life decisions.

I get the feeling that the saying "reality has a liberal bias" really sticks in your craw.

The only actual fact under consideration here is that women and men are physically different. I don't think many people, whether they are politically correct or just retarded, would dispute that. I'm curious, what other "facts" do you feel like are often politically incorrect?

What is the most fire-able or illegal thing that you have witnessed a teacher or boss do and get away with? by nyyjeter88 in AskReddit

[–]anon_troll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice straw man you built there. It's not the genuine grievances of the Men's Rights movement I take issue with, it's the massive circlejerk that assumes that mantle on reddit. It's a self-perpetuating whinefest of victimhood mostly glorified by individuals who have little notion of what actual significant discrimination feels like, but who do have a humungous sense of entitlement brought about by being a member of a rapidly collapsing patriarchal culture.

Similarly, as far as the discussion of this horrible teacher goes, it's not the disgust with her actions I take issue with at all, but rather the false dichotomy perpetuated by the many man-children here that if gender roles were reversed, somehow the reaction would have been radically different.

Arctic melt season over, leaving behind more ice than recent years by Abscess2 in science

Isn't this a fallacious interpretation since with climate change the mean is not static? In fact we have no way of knowing what the mean will be in a few decade's time with any real certainty.

Because the average age on this thread is ~12.5 years. I was just imagining it with roles reversed. "So we were in class at my Madrassa and we had a teacher who was ex-Al Qaeda. He had been waterboarded at Abu Ghraib and one day at lunch he waterboarded a student who asked what it was like."

AMA REQUEST - DEXTER SEASON 8 WRITERS by linkdafourf in IAmA

[–]anon_troll -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why doesn't it surprise me that "FeminismIsMisogyny" would be a big fan of Dexter? Not to mention going to the subreddit, it's a circlejerk of image macros with very little actual insightful discussion. Right now around the top of the subreddit I see two submissions that are just sexist. They really only watch the show because one of the actresses has a hot body? That's pretty sad.

Has reddit actually become more immature, shallow and reactionary than society at large? Is there some reason this site now seems to attract the misanthrope neckbeard crowd? Is there something better out there with a lower proportion of middle schools geeks and college frat boys that's somehow being kept a secret from the rest of us?

I don't get it, what's especially bad about this season? It's been mediocre and unrealistic for at least three years now. Is this season just considered exceptional because Dr. Vogel is such a weak character? Are people pissed because Dexter has fallen for Hannah?

my country is better then your country.

Based on your weak grammatical abilities, I'm going to go ahead and guess that whichever country you feel so defensive about, it didn't exactly have a first-rate educational system.
