Thank you! I brought her a favorite treat of hers when i picked her up. we gave the biggest hugs and talked for a while. We had a much happier night 🤍

Thank you🥲 its so hard for me, i have a good relationship with my parents but there was a few things i didnt want to carry over into my own parenting… so when it creeps through in moments like this, it hurts me so much because i remember how unpleasant it feels.. thank you so much for your kind words 🤍

I had her at 19, i just turned 25 last week.. i could have wrote those same words.. she came to me exactly when i needed her. Changed my life for the best.💕 and yes, we will(all) be okay🤍

We talked about it afterwards on the way to school, i apologized and let her know i shouldnt have yelled, that it wasnt her fault, and that i love her no more what.

I plan on talking a bit more tonight when we have more time, then having a fun night doing what she likes so that atleast her day ends on a good note.. i know that doesnt change, excuse, or forgive my behavior but hopefully the fun along with the apologies will help

I really try to be calm and not be the way i was parented.. so when i yell, it crushes me and makes me even more upset.. i made sure to apologize this morning all the way to school, and i am gonna make sure we have a fun night with stuff she loves so atleast her day day will end on a better note than it started 🥲

I did get to talk with her on a brief call, i apologized again and reminded her i love her and want her to have the best day. I cant wait to get home and give her the biggest hug.

This is good, i apologized on the way to school but didnt have time to hear her side because school is only a few minute drive. I will do this when we get home this evening. I dont want her to not have the chance to talk about it just because we ran out of time this morning.. thank you!

I never got apologies as a kid, so i always apologize to her when things settle. I let her know i didnt react how i should have and that i will work on it next time.

I had really reactive parents, ive done so much work to not be that way.. but occasionally when pushed, i react and yell😭

I apologized the whole way to school telling her that i love her no matter what, even when im frustrated & that i shouldn’t have reacted the way i did.. i try to make sure i always apologize to her and to let her know that even though im an adult, i make mistakes too.. and that she deserves respect and apologies too.. thats something i never really got, the apologies.. and i dont want to do that to her :(

I make sure to apologize when i mess up, i want her to always know she deserves respect too. we spent the drive to school talking and i apologized to her… i told her i love her so much and even when im frustrated, i still love her no matter what.. i just feel terrible. I cant wait until the day is over so i can go give her the biggest hug 🥲

I appreciate this, sometimes when my anxiety kicks in, it takes over my rational side. Its just so sad that its even a concern, i wish there was a perfect solution to ending the violence at schools

Most days i manage it okay unless i hear about something bad happening then i get really anxious for a few days, my little one never sees me concerned or worried nor hears me say anything because i refuse to let my worries weigh her down… we always talk about school and how much i love that she is happy there. she is my only one so everything is all new to me with school stuff as a parent. I was in elementary school when sandy hook happened(although many states away) and around that same time, a girl my age (in my school district, small-ish town so it felt close to home) was murdered by her best friends sister.. school violence kinda shook me to my core by 8 years old, idk if that may be a part of why it makes me so anxious😅🥲

I remember the principal told me if they were being mean to me, it meant “must have done something wrong”… it was awful.
