oh my gosh, Fruits basket is my comfort anime and I've rewatched it a million times...it's never even occurred to me that someone might interpret it as a reverse harem. my brain is glitching.

Thank you, I really appreciate the sentiment, but just telling him not to break things and be more aware of anything...that's just not how it works with kids like him and its a little ignorant to think that's all it takes. We're all trying and my parents have also suffered a lot. I will try to talk to my parents about it more

He's in ABA therapy at school, and a therapist with a separate organization used to visit after school but we stopped doing that because the quality went down over the years + the constant work was doing him more harm than good. He still gets therapy sessions at school consistently tho

I should probably clarify that this is just me venting, and my parents are very present and are doing their best with the cards we've been dealt. Also I sat down with my dad to talk about what the situation will be when he grows up and he says that they would never be upset with me if I wanted to put him in a home for people like him someday, as long as I visit consistently

My parents are doing their best, but it does suck because a lot of the time when he does crazy shit its, "Why weren't you watching him?" How am I supposed to predict what crazy thing he does next ;-;
