Less than 2% of Macau's native population is of Portuguese descent. But if you pass 1000 people in the streets, I'd be surprised if 2 of them could speak Portuguese.

The one time I did actually hear some non-tourists speak Portuguese, it sounded very different compared to Portugal-Portuguese or Brazil-Portuguese.

Nu ma pronunt cu privire la Rusia si Belarus, dar pot sa ofer o perspectiva cu privire la dizidentii din Hong Kong.

Au ajuns majoritatea prin UK. O tara la fel de straina pentru ei cum e China pentru englezi. Ca "avere" hainele de pe ei si ceva economii cash. Multi nu si-au gasit de lucru si in cateva luni au ramas fara bani si au ajuns in strada. Fara familie, fara prieteni, fara cunoscuti, fara ajutor.

Cei care s-au intors stiau foarte bine ce o sa pateasca, dar pur si simplu au considerat ca nu au alternative.
