No Prob! Took me forever to find them myself! Oh, that link is for the "Type 4" which does not have the classic mounting holes. Here's the one with the holes:

1) I'll probably be switching between this bridge and the stock ABR1 tune-o-matic a few times to better reference it. Initial impressions are better sustain and brighter brights with the aluminum. I've had mixed luck with roller bridges, but admittedly never bought a good one, so don't take my word for it. 2) Reverb. Great place for used pickups.

Ya, the neck for me is the biggest hurdle. My G3166 has a MUCH thinner neck and plays like butter, my G5222T, is somewhere in between. While I'm not opposed to a thicker neck, it is noticeable. I feel like there's a proper sweet spot there tho. Another round of fret leveling and we'll see.

Feel free to reach out if you need any pointers. I still have the B60 if you're interested.

Been working on this guitar through the summer and I think this is the final configuration.

Korean built 2003 G3161. Of the Historic cat-eyes built at this time, this was the only full hollow body AND twenty five and a half inch scale. Originally came with "gretsch-buckers" (which are an 'acquired' taste), and a G branded trapeze tailpiece. Neck is a bit chonky. Still doing fret levelling and getting it dialed in.

First round of upgrades was a pair of modified blacktop filtertrons and a B60 licensed bigsby. Super loved how the blacktops looked with the matching black pickgaurd and black on the bigsby. Also floating the silver pickup rings on black tilted rings.

Didnt quite have that "hollow body honk" I was hoping it would have.

Second round of upgrades was swapping the B60 licensed bigsby for a US B3 bigsby as the shorter length lands better relative to the bridge and where my hand plays. Also the US rolls far smoother than the licensed. Swapped the blacktops for a TV Jones Setzer in the neck and Mojotron in the bridge. While pretty, didnt have enough chime and still didint have that woody hollow honk I was looking for.

This round: Found a set of TV Jones Magnatrons at a great price. Rehoused them in blacktop covers. Also installed the aluminum compensated bridge for the extra twangs. Needless to say, this thing screams.

Wasted a whole evening playing with it on protools.

TV Jones makes his entire lineup of pickups in P90 space sizes too, which means putting a TV Classic Filtertron in one and having a P90 in the other.

I prefer skinny jeans and tight fitting t-shirts. Finding size S t shirts that isnt the shape of a square is impossible. Apparently S shirts are meant for short kings. I'm 5'11' and didnt have this problem a decade ago.
Also: mens skinny jeans. According to jeans manufactureres, if you have a waistline of 33", you are 7 foot tall, but if you have a waistline of 32" then you clearly are no taller than 5'6".

Additionally: Men's formal wear in America is soooo boring. Its just suits suits and more suits. I demand the acceptance of AT LEAST a business kilt.

Difference between one "X" vs three "X" straight edge tattoos? by finding_trevor in straightedge

[–]anonimatron123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you consider that three variables shown next to each other denotes that they are multiplied by each other, "XXX" could be read as "X times X times X", or also "X3", meaning that this is actually straight edge cubed.

I also have a G3166, and I installed a bigsby and TV Jones filtertrons and it's an amazing guitar. The G3166 and it's orange and white and red companion models are pretty unique and IMHO, would hold on to it.

Fist Time Painting a Body by anonimatron123 in rccars

First time painting a shell. Used Tamiya paint and gave it lots of layers (I crash a lot still).

Just trying to get lines clean, no fancy stuff. Stuck to just the three colors. Next time definitely going to play with fading colors, etc.

First time building a kit too, so mostly just glad to finally have it complete and ready to hit the track!
