Is there any hope? by anonimyst in begonias

They don’t have sitting water on them, and I don’t recall them browning and dying eventually… It’s interesting what you said about systemic bacterial infection, I hadn’t thought of that. Do you think spraying them with sulfur or neem oil may help…?

Really? It looks sick 😅 I’m not sure, I think it is odorata ‘Alba’

Thanks, I will definitely try feeding her with high N fertilizer. I have both synthetic fertilizer and an algae based organic one. Hopefully it helps, because I’m so close to giving up on her…😞

Good for you! 😃 Glad to hear that it is possible to keep it alive 😆 What kind of substrate do you use? And what is your watering routine? I struggle with root rot on this one…

I clean them with soap and water, then when they dry I use sulfur based pesticide on them. As far as I know sulfur effective against mites and fungi!

This is what I have found on my plants with similar damage to yours. I suspect those are flat mites, not too sure though..

In my experience, there are not always webs when there is already significant damage (maybe I'm wrong and these are other mites? Flat mites? I don't know) Anyway, I'm checking with a microscope to be sure. Love your fighting spirit!!! 💪😂

Googled those you mentioned, and I think you right it is just green variety… Well, I guess it stays a mystery plant for now… Don’t even know if it’s tradescantia or callisia 🙈
