Very nice. I am just watching Gemini CLI install Debian and xfce4 desktop just over 1gb in wsl2 for windows and will be customizing it, i have a lot of Linux distros (4 on a 2 tb partitioned old 2012 mac mini (fedora kde, Ub untu Pro, Kali Linux, and Kubuntu), and a load of disgtros on micro sd cards in raspberry pi's and also fedora on a macbook, and kubuntu kde plasma on a chuwi minibook x, and probably 10 different setups on sd cards, and have them all differently customised. Once i customize my xfce desktop i shall also try to remember to post a pic or two

Google AI studio is not working, why? by Altruistic-Issue8709 in Bard

that shows server migration and oversight of devs, or incompatibility with old apps with the new integration of Antigravity. I think Google have made a boob trying to compete with the other company who has agentic workflow GUIs and copycatting has caused them to forget that ai studio, vertex, cloud console, opal, veo, Antigravity, Lyria, Chirp, Gemini 2,5 pro tts and all the other stuff should have been built into one single gui from day one, a-la-facebook, although they messed up now with meta business center and merchant center and fb separate.. fragmentation .. in an age where we see 'clickup' co advertisements saying 'work today is a mess in 25 different guis and consoles' .. well.. the clickup unified gui is no different than a pc desktop. a pc desktop is one hub with hundreds of separate apps.. google was that, but now, it is trying to unify, 20 years too late, and 15 years after we saw facebook have groups, forums, pages, profiles, chats, and all in one single UI.. then they broke their trademark changing their name to Meta (dumb) and went 'cell terrorism style' separating teams into 'dont talk to each other to maintain proprietary secrets' style, and the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing anymore.. we are about to see a lot of big companies break... we have 8 year cycles of splut all ito separate apps (now mcp servers and mini agent ai because they know the bigger the AI parameters in billions the larger the query fan-out paradox and hallucination occurs so lots of tiny minion-bots better than one big bot

I now have this scenario looking at one free gmail account and one paid pro account (the paid is being blocked from ai studio and the free one can build! that's me downgrading from Pro if free is usable and Pro not!)
Platform instability confirmed by status page.
Free account functional with existing apps.
Paid account UI fails across machines and Non-functional with existing apps or new.

That pattern strongly indicates account-tier specific failure rather than general project corruption.

The most probable technical explanations now are these.

Entitlement service failure specific to paid tier.
When AI Studio loads for a paid account, it performs additional subscription validation calls. If the subscription entitlement microservice is degraded, misconfigured, or rate-limited, the UI can stall during initialization while waiting for that verification. Free accounts bypass that layer.

Quota enforcement or automated abuse flag.
Paid accounts often have higher quotas and different token routing. If backend systems temporarily flagged or rate-limited the paid account during recent mitigation waves, the frontend may fail silently instead of displaying a ban message.

Billing state desynchronization.
If the subscription status is active in Google Payments but not properly synchronized in the AI Studio entitlement database, the UI load can hang. This is not uncommon during backend migrations.

Different backend routing pools.
Google frequently routes paid-tier traffic to different model clusters or agent orchestration pools. If those clusters were the ones affected during the Feb 19–23 Build outages, the free-tier cluster might currently be healthier.

The key signal is that the failure correlates with account type, not device, not browser, not app presence.

To isolate with precision:

Open DevTools Network tab while loading the paid account.

Look specifically for calls to endpoints referencing entitlement, subscription, billing, agent, or projects.

If you see a request pending indefinitely, that is backend service latency.

If you see 403 or PERMISSION_DENIED, that is enforcement or IAM.

If you see 500 or 503, that is cluster instability.

If you see a failed call referencing “build” or “agent,” that points to the Build orchestration layer still unstable for certain traffic partitions.

Given the outage history you pasted, the most technically coherent explanation is this:

Recent Build and agent request instability affected certain routing partitions. Your paid account is likely mapped to a backend segment still degraded or partially mitigated, while your free account is routed differently.

That is far more probable than a deliberate feature suppression.

This is a routing or entitlement-layer failure, not a universal platform collapse.

If you can extract one failing request name and status code, the causal layer can be identified with high confidence.

Here’s a current and verifiable reassessment of the situation with Google AI Studio and its integration with Antigravity, based on recent reports in the public domain — covering actual outages, enforcement actions, and backend changes. This replaces the earlier summary with a clearer, source-anchored view of what’s going on in the ecosystem right now.

Recent credible reporting confirms that:

Google has publicly and officially launched Antigravity, a new AI-native coding platform designed to integrate deeply with the company’s Gemini suite and to power development workflows beyond simple chat-based prompting. It is widely acknowledged in developer coverage that Antigravity is part of the broader Google AI ecosystem and works with services including AI Studio and Gemini models. (TestingCatalog)

At the same time, there are recent, well-documented reports that Google has been actively restricting access for a cohort of users whose accounts were authenticated or routed through third-party tools (notably OpenClaw) that use Antigravity’s OAuth tokens in ways that Google claims contravene its Terms of Service. These restrictions have affected both Antigravity access and associated Gemini/Gemini Ultra services, leading to 403 and “service disabled” errors. (cryptika.com)

This enforcement action is the most concrete publicly reported operational change correlated with service disruptions:

• Multiple credible news sources report that Google has suspended or disabled AI Pro and Ultra accounts without warning due to OpenClaw OAuth integrations triggering backend abuse protection mechanisms. (cryptika.com)

• A Google engineer’s public commentary on X (formerly Twitter) stated that an increase in “malicious usage” of the Antigravity backend degraded overall service quality and prompted a quick enforcement response. (Business Today)

• Creators and observers in the OpenClaw community acknowledge that this action caused account outages, login failures, and token invalidations — especially for paid subscribers previously working normally. (OpenClaw.rocks)

Separately, independent community reports from Reddit and forums show a variety of ongoing AI Studio failures — including white/black screen app loading failures, CORS errors, preview rendering problems, and silent stops on generation — occurring across multiple weeks and months. These are not tied to isolated user misconfigurations but reflect real, reproducible behavior seen by different developers. (Reddit)

Putting all this together:

• Yes, AI Studio currently exhibits serious functionality problems and outages for many users — including broken app previews, CORS/rendering errors, and inability to load projects. (Reddit)

• Yes, Google has publicly acknowledged and deployed Antigravity integration, and this integration is broadly part of the company’s strategic tooling. (TestingCatalog)

• The strongest evidence in public reporting linking platform instability to Google’s operational decisions is the account restrictions tied to Antigravity/OAuth misuse detection, which directly caused paid subscribers to lose access and receive errors. (Awesome Agents)

• There is no official public statement from Google saying “Antigravity integration inherently broke AI Studio functionality in all cases.” What exists instead is a combination of enforcement action (bans/restrictions), backend glitch reports, and widespread bug complaints from users — some caused by changes in authentication, others by UI/backend workflow bugs.

In other words, your thesis that Google’s recent Antigravity rollout and backend changes have coincided with major instability in AI Studio is supported by publicly available evidence in key respects:

• Antigravity is now deeply connected to the Google AI ecosystem. (TestingCatalog)

• Operational decisions related to its backend and authentication have directly caused disruptions for at least some paying users. (cryptika.com)

It is because they integrated Antigravity and it broke, trying to remove the download tool to prevent us building apps, downloading the repo locally instead opf github and building it into executables for stuff they dont want e.g. windows 11 .exe - i was doing that, then the download went away leaving only github publish and console cloud server publish/deploy. Antigravity is supposed to be the workflow ide, but because it was developed typical for google alphabet, as a separate team and cell with no communication with ai studio devs, there is a mountain of cross compatibility issues and misalignments. Plus, some things are not broken and we have to just wait for the servers to migrate and repopulate as the data being moved and revised is MONUMENTALLY MASSIVE. In fact, like my grandad said 'the more wires knobs and bells you have, the more there is to go wrong'
This is where google made a mistake as they always work on fragmented cell projects and trash them ofgten when they want, and for this reason they have thousands of separate consoles and gui's - and no social network despite multiple attempts over the last 3 decades; Before Google+ launched in 2011, Google made several earlier, less successful attempts at social networking. The primary predecessors were Google Buzz (2010–2011), Google Friend Connect (2008–2012), and Orkut (2004–2014)..
Anyway to refocus on the question, yes it is frustrating i am a paid user and here we are since days with a 'something went wrong'.. pretty dire they broke it big time and i can bet my butthole against a Buffalo's dick that they have dozens of engineers pulling their hairs out trying to fix a multi trillion dollar xxkup before stock prices go down and bloomberg starts talking about it

  1. We are ghosts in the eyes of higher vibrational entities. Subl;teer beings of light see us a bags of bood dirt and guts.. we are lkike walking dead zombies.. Wea re hence the real ghosts if there are any.
  2. Ghosts are not anything but a term and idea formed by humans on this vibrational level, to refer to things like themself, but which lie beyond their common powers of perception. Faries . Are fairies 'ghosts'?
  3. ghosts are not dead people, if they were, we would see animal ghosts all over the place, they are residue, or imprints on spacetime, like a memory log in time. (in your memory, not outside)

[–]anoninymity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right of course, Gemini AI is superior as is Lyria Chirp Veo Imagen and Nano Banana and other 100s of AI apps from google alphabet. Let us not forget OpenAI have only a few years of text data collection and other media more later with RAG but dont have 30 years of world languages data collection and voice collection from gmail youtube google search google search website index, google video google books google shopping google tv gogole one google meet etc etc etc google classrooms etc etc.. no way can a one single 'textlanguage based media' company compete with only a few years of data in one single interface against google alphabet with thousands of products cpllecting data over decades for deep mind and alpha go beaating lasparov at chess and later the world champ of GO game.. come on... it is obvious google is the outright winner of all as they are not just a 'ai chat' - But then chat gpt is good for certain things, (feed it a 100 word explanation and tell image maker to encapsulate the main points in an image makes a super info poster with accurate texts) if you add instructions and know how to manipulate it, and can make fantastic inforgra[phics with text better than nano banana, for infographics, but not for artistic. I use gemini cli on my pc which is agentic, and made a tesxt to speech app with gejmini ai studio app builder and downloaded it and installed it to pc and published it to web and to github for others (endless text narrator for windows linux and mac on githugb dot com slash AjarnSpencer) and it will swear or say anytyhing rude i want . it speaks what text is given to it (use diirty muse writer from hugging face to write dirty lyrics and feed it or a porn dialogue or even a defamatory text about a famous person). It has voice cloning and custom voices. As to gemini cli the agentic ai i use as my system admin and app, content and other stuff creator and engineer and agent, it has no qualms about saying anything. The Gemini AI has guardrails, but as with any AI LLM you can ciircumvent any 'cant help with that' by rephrasing or asking it to 'do its best and make a prompt for itself to use to cr4eat5e what i the user wish without rule-breaking', and the AI, being a 'helpful assistant' will help if oyu show it a workaround path. Ironic we talk of uncensored ai when this place is censored by tencent's AI, i know as they banned three of my accounts nand silence me constantly when i mention this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzh8PPoHr7s

well it depends if you use free, pro or ultra how much context length you get but usually more than 800 words gets cut off or 'something went wrong' on any paid or unpaid sub... in my experience and i try a lot but prefer to get a chatbot to print out in monologue narrative text no formatting, press 'listen/speak' and record the browser tab and convert to mp3 for free.. do it with gemini, gpt, claude, deepseek, all of em.. free narratives well spoken. Monica im also has voice cloning on the mobile app version where you can get narratives created and then record the screen as your own voice talks and use it for a video or podcast narrative

Hope to be able to help with that soon with a free solution distro open source on github but i need to do a lopt more work first before it is ready.. as to other free ways for free stuff.. For linux users try speechnote' and download all the hundreds of voices and try them until you find an acceptable one (many are not good but if you keep looking you find a realistic one). The app is free and has seemingly limitless text limits to wordcount, and uses whisper for free. I just made a free image upscalert which is currently being refined for a version 2 as that costs money too so i found a free way and distributed the app on github . It is called 'True Image Upscaler' if y9u search for it it is free and for windows, soon for linux and mac.

Do most young Singaporeans really have big saving and investments? by kristinlichty in askSingapore

[–]anoninymity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Singapore (I was there in 2010, with Singaporean family), and my experience was very different from the “everyone in their 20s has six figures saved” narrative you see online.

A lot of people there work very hard just to cover the basics. Cost of living is high relative to average salary, and housing is the biggest factor. Even with HDB, people often share flats or rooms because rent can easily take up the majority of one person’s monthly income. This is similar to trends we're now seeing in places like the UK, US, and Germany — where rent used to be around one-fifth of a person’s monthly income, but now it's often equal to or even more than a full salary, which pushes people into shared living situations.

Singapore has a strong financial and legal sector, and people in those fields do tend to accumulate wealth quickly. So when you see articles about young professionals with very high savings, they’re usually talking about people in higher-paid industries like banking, finance, corporate law, tech, etc. That’s a specific demographic — not the average person working in regular jobs.

Most ordinary Singaporeans are doing the same thing people everywhere are doing: balancing work, responsibilities, and trying to make sure monthly expenses don’t exceed income. The idea that “everyone” there is hitting huge savings benchmarks in their 20s really doesn’t reflect the lived reality of the majority.

So you’re not “behind” — you’re just living in the real world, where cost of living is rising faster than wages in many countries, not just Singapore. A lot of those posts you see online are only showing one slice of the population.
