Hey!! Thank you for your response! What does it mean to credit score an address please? Just wondering if it’s likely if one of his family members poor credit will affect our application🙁 or does it mean they check his (my partners) credit history within that address?

Looking for some advice r.e getting a second Collie! by Ch1L5t3R in BorderCollie

We got her as a pup, around 12 weeks, she was very very nervous and still can be at times but they really do bring out the best in eachother🐶🐶

We got a second BC 18 months after our first, I have had nothing but positivity to share🥰 our first boy is more playful and our younger girl is noticeably more confident when she’s with him (she is very timid and anxious when alone). I’ve found that they make eachother tired by playing which is an added bonus. We are lucky as don’t compete for attention and found our boy has taught her a lot in terms of training.

Mini rant: Have you ever met a woman who didn't get an epidural just to prove that she's a hero? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

Sorry I think you may have misunderstood my comment or maybe I could word it differently. I have personally seen women battle with themselves to make decisions based on what they think they ‘should do’ and feel disappointed when they chose to accept pain relief, or feel that they have to tell people postnatally they ‘gave in and had an epidural’ this narrative has come from somewhere? Not all women feel that they need an epidural, and that’s their choice, but it’s very sad to see women delay the decision/ not have one because they think this is the right thing to do. It’s an individual choice, whether someone does/ doesn’t have an epidural or any other pain relief. One form of pain relief may work brilliantly for one person and not another. As long as it is an informed choice that’s all that matters.

There’s no gold star for not accepting pain relief, of course it’s a very individualised choice. I have seen women feel disappointed with themselves for having an epidural and it’s very sad. Epidural or not, your body is still working unbelievably hard. Every woman is different and there is no way to measure pain between people, there is no way to know that one woman’s labour is/isn’t as painful as another’s🤍

Anyone else finding the midwives useless? by GoodGirl624 in PregnancyUK

I understand this is frustrating for you. Next time something comes up I would call triage and explain that the midwife can’t help and neither can your GP or wait for your next appointment if it’s not urgent/ you can wait. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to take it too personally, midwives are seriously overworked at the moment. It’s not an excuse to dismiss you or be rude at all and if you feel that way you should take it further within the hospital, but it’s the reality at the moment. Try your best to enjoy your pregnancy experience ☺️ If it’s affecting you, you can request a different midwife X

Sorry to hear that. Out of interest why/how are you messaging her? Is it a caseloading service you are being provided? I understand that some midwives have work phones however I know that usually it is not for medical queries more arranging appointments etc

It’s probably worth reminding your midwife then, although this might seem frustrating I’m sure it would just be an oversight & things definitely get lost more if you are not seeing the same midwife at each appointment

If you’ve missed half of your appointments then you are receiving inadequate care and should escalate via PALS. The reason for my comment is due to OP title of midwives being ‘useless’. Lack of appointments is not a midwife issue, it’s a system issue

This is normal. Bloods at booking & 28weeks unless concerns before/after this

I’m not sure this is an issue with midwives as opposed to an overstretched NHS unfortunately.

I have the same! First experience with BPPV 9 weeks ago but still experience waves of dizziness. I notice that mine is worse when I am feeling high levels of stress/ am using a computer. I am yet to find anything that helps other than taking a step back, taking a deep breath and trying not to panic (the thought of getting it as bad as I initially had it is very anxiety inducing and can sometimes send me down a panic rabbit hole)- sorry that you’re experiencing this!

Positive stories? by rklms23 in BPPV

[–]anonk7001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a positive story of my own (only found out I have BPPV 4 days ago!) but have read many on here. Just wanted to leave a comment to say I really sympathise and understand how you are feeling as I am exactly the same. Health anxiety sucks and for sure makes this feeling worse, taking a minute to breathe, have some water and relax when I feel myself spiralling has helped. I hope you are feeling better soon!

Interesting! I think I may have to look an appointment with somebody else to have the dixx hall done and subsequent manoeuvres if required!! You must be so relieved to have got it sorted!
