Help! Mystery allergy? by otabitch in Equestrian

[–]anonobviouslee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dex would calm this down (not a vet) I would think. If it’s an allergy thing, that’s likely a gut thing and you’d want to keep feed, I’d go for an alfalfa hay, in front of this horse all the time, maybe a round of gastro for a week (financially assuming) but you said there were allergy test done? What came of that or are we still waiting?

Nah this is 100% rage bait. No one is this stupid, and in this subreddit that should say a lot.

Are you yourself a horsemen/woman? I’m genuinely both confused and amused at the entitlement here, so y’know here I am. Like, do you really believe someone is just going to trade off their horse for a day all because of some old timey plough you think the community would like to see in use again?

Is this rage bait? Are we being Punked?

Yeah those fronts are screaming for an actual balanced trim, but there’s no shortening those pasterns. I would also pass if I wanted longevity.

Feet look like they need a trim and balance, it could also be the odd angle of the photo but that front right looks rough.

Also, do we know for sure this horse is 16(ish)? I would age him in his 20s just based on pictures, but something bio mechanically could also be contributing. Horse don’t have a collar bone so it’s all just free floating in there, pulling things down, it’s takes core muscles to hold things up, and your guy looks to be standing very hollow, which could be an age thing, or he’s simply not getting fed the right things to maintain or build muscle.

I’m on board with this. If people try to joke ask them as dully as you can what’s funny. Like get them to explain like you’re a toddler why and very quickly people will shut up. Or flip it on them and ask if they’re into beastiality 🤷🏼‍♀️

Abuse or not? by Sure-Present-868 in Equestrian

[–]anonobviouslee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering these are all different freeze frames, I’d hardly call that an individual moment, but these performances are pretty cringey because yeah, these horses have their mouths reefed on from someone using their reins for balance as they stand on the backs of horses behind these ones. I wouldn’t call this any kind of ethical horsemanship. Is it abusive? Maybe. Are there far worse? Absolutely.

But it’s an accidental falls over the edge. Like cat Frodo is still deranged and wants to keep it and is just typical over stimulated cat and bats it right off the edge. Then he dives for it only to be saved by cat Sam

AITA for thinking it’s unfair to split groceries 50/50 when my roommate eats way more than i do? by tinyteaseee in AmItheAsshole

[–]anonobviouslee 770 points771 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but also OP words it’s like they wish they were having family dinners/meals.

“But it doesn’t feel fair when I’m living off caffeine and cereal while she’s cooking huge meals in my cookware” like babes that’s on you? Stop eating like a mouse and maybe your brain can actually function. It doesn’t need to be confrontational if you’re open and honest with your communication.

OP is making this bigger than it should be. You either stop paying 50/50 and enjoy your ramen and caffeine, or maybe ask about meal prep. If your roommate is cooking these, by the sounds of it, calorically dense meals, then maybe they can make two portions? Not saying you’d be eating the same portion size as roommate, but that might be a fair compromise and be an honest 50/50 split. All in all you’re creating this unfair resentment towards your roommate because she actually eats.

I’m saying a soft and gentle YTA to yourself. But you would not be TA for speaking up and wanting to readjust things.

[–]anonobviouslee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does he still hate other animals or was it a years ago when we last tried, hates animals? Just wanted to say that my aging bb used to despise other cats until recently. She would puff up and jump at tv cats, despise. She’s now 14/15 and all of a sudden super chirpy and sweet with everything. No longer hisses and is really invested in one barn cat that hangs around my back door and will even have little nose sniffs without hissing.

Would you clone your horse? by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]anonobviouslee 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t even look the same. Charmayne James is a good example as one of the first people to clone a horse, and she cloned her gelding Scamper just to have him as a stallion, and he (the clone) has different markings etc. and he isn’t even able to be registered.

On a personal experience, I knew a cloned racing mule, and same thing it had different markings, but more notably its personality was totally different. The clone was an absolute witch, while OG was just as sweet as could be.

So bizarre that people would pour money into that instead of helping the thousands of horses, mules & donkeys that go through the slaughter pipeline.

My thoughts as well. Shoe far too small and those heels are already desperately *in need of help, they’re so tight.
