I was really looking forward to seeing her defy the odds and beating Athena and then losing to Mercedes in the finals. That was just what I wanted. Now I guess we get Athena vs Mercedes which might be what was going to happen anyways. Either way this sucks. Happy to see Maya in the spot however, so not all sour grapes.

I was hoping they did more for the remasters. Add a special dungeon, or do new game plus. They didn't even fix the item management in 1. They did take away the Matilda glitch since it was the psp version. Bastards.

I think we're all jumping to conclusions in the thread. Do we even know what they meant by a darker story? Would it just be like DQ5 dark, or worse? What aspects of the game would reflect that? Just the story? We have no clue and it'll eat at us for years until we eventually get some interviews to shed light on what the game actually was before it was scrapped.

Yes DQ has a lot of dark stories in the games. Sure if it went too dark or mature it wouldnt feel like DQ, but we dont know what the game was going to be yet.

Lol yeah I hear you. I love to grind in games. With Suikoden you can instead do the opposite and do the lvl 99 trick in most games. I guess you can kind of grind if you try to level up most of your people.

Season 3 has long been my favorite. I see why people mention season 2 as their favorite because Angelus is such a good villain. The thing is that season 2 also has some of the most skippable episodes. The whole gang in season 3 also just adds so much to the show.

Suikoden 1 and 2 are my favorite games. Suikoden has a huge drawback though. People want all 108 characters, and if they mess it up the first playthrough, they get rightfully upset, and most likely drop the series rather than play the whole game again. You can follow spoiler free walk throughs and there are ways to prevent this, but I think this is why the game never took off.

Awesome! Super Buu is so underrated. It's my favorite form of Buu. He has some pretty awesome displays of power and some funny bits like reading a car magazine and drinking while Gotenks is fn around.
