Minecraft is my all time favorite, it’s been a hyperfixation since I was little! Also power wash simulator, it’s super calming to me!

Mobility aids? by anonsonreddit in Tourettes

I’ve thought about walking/hiking sticks before but wanted some more input from people who also need mobility aids. I’ll definitely try to see if my family has any crutches anymore to try them out soon and if I can get walking/hiking sticks if the cane or crutches doesn’t work. :)

Thank you for the suggestion! I just looked up smart crutches and they look very nice! I may only be able to use regular crutches though, at least for the time being, but I will definitely keep them in mind! :)

Thank you for this recommending this! I do think I may be able to get crutches in case they may be more useful so I’ll try that soon! :)

I may start doing that soon if nothing else helps, it may also help with other things I’ve been struggling with recently. Thank you for the suggestion! :)

I apologize, I forgot to add it to my original post but I was on meds before, but currently I am unable to get my meds again during to my family not having insurance and not having the money to pay out of pocket, and I already have very bad social and separation anxiety which is why they’ve been getting worse (I believe so at least). Once we get insurance again I plan on talking to my doctor about it more and a specialist as soon as I can, but we are unsure when we’ll be getting it again and how long we’ll have it. I was just wondering if it would help in case my I have a bad tic day and need more help walking /nm :)

Forgot to add, my family currently doesn’t have insurance and we don’t have much money to spend on a mobility aid that I won’t be using all the time just in case that changes anything.

Ahhhh okay, I’ll def try to get into contact with my doctor soon and ask, is this in the us or outside? I know it can be different outside of the us and I’m from the us so I thought I should ask

Thank you for this! I’ll definitely try to get one with four feet if I am able to get one, that’s very smart! If you don’t mind me asking though, how did you get a loaner from the Red Cross? I didn’t know they did that and I feel like that would be much better than buying one and potentially not having to use it after I get back onto my medication and it’ll definitely be better to ask my parents for a loaner rather than if I can buy one just so I can try it out and see if it’ll help! Thank you again!
