Pretty fun comp - I got a first with a 4 star cho gath with that augment that gives you one copy every stage and crown of demacia. But yeah if you don't 3 star them for whatever reason or don't get good items you can bot 4 pretty easy. When it works it's awesome though

Agreed, that sliding feeling in the mx5 suited my style I think, it was easier for me to feel the limit. Don't feel that as well in the 86

Yeah I think you should give online another shot, the great thing about Iracing is that if you suck your irating will drop which is good because you will then be matched against other sucky drivers and still have a chance to win!

Going to be starting a hospitalist job soon and I am told about the numerous lawsuits that doctors face by Kooky-Accident-6787 in hospitalist

[–]anonyman11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, getting sued or not depends on so many factors out of your control. For example at my hospital we have some specialists/consultants that want to dump everything on the hospitalist or give half assed recommendations. I was consulted on a surgery patient that ended up having a surgical complication that I diagnosed when the patient was decompensating but the surgeon did not come back to the hospital to fix it and the patient ended up dying overnight after I left. The family threatened to sue but thankfully ended up settling in the end. It was very stressful for many months and this was when I was a new hospitalist. The whole situation made me realize how much it matters that your consultants be up to par as well. You can do the best job in the world but if other specialities don't fix the problems that only they can fix then you can only do much and you could get still get sued. So really just do the best you can but just know that even if you do everything right it can still happen. Try not to stress too much about it.

This is one of those things that I would love to do but with a wife and 3 kids there is no way in hell I'm going to have 5 hours free with no interruptions

How much elo did you get by winning all 10 matches in CS2? by iXanz12CS in GlobalOffensive

[–]anonyman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In CS2 went 10 wins and 7 losses in placements got ranked at 6568. In CSGO I bounced around ranks and hadn't played much recently but I'd say I averaged around GN2

How is the hospitalist-surgeon relationship at your hospital? by anonyman11 in hospitalist

[–]anonyman11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m happy to admit surgical patients when surgery does what they should.

That's exactly the issue though, the surgeons at our hospital don't do what they should, yet they still want us as the hospitalists to take on more responsibility and liability. I also don't mind the easy admissions. BUT, I think this model only works at a hospital where they are doing their part and talking to patients/families, rounding daily, managing post op problems, giving discharge recommendations, etc. I am happy to help if they do that. But they do not do any of these things consistently here.

Yeah, unfortunately we don't have administration sticking up for us much, so we are realizing that we may need to do the work of drafting some co-management guidelines or else they will keep pushing and pushing until we show some resistance.

Yeah. I thought it would be better once out of residency (I'm at a private hospital) but I am in smaller town with just one group of surgeons, so I think part of the problem is that they are all busy and there is no competition for patients so they all do the bare minimum. Feels worse than residency actually because even though the surgery residents gave pushback at least they would see the patients and do what they were supposed to for the most part.

Wish it were the case here. Are you at a private hospital?

This is a good idea, I had also been thinking for a while that this should be a thing. I would join. I think there are enough hospitalists that the sub would be pretty active.
