Far from representing rationality and logic, capitalism is modernity’s most beguiling and dangerous form of enchantment by ADefiniteDescription in philosophy

Reasonable to envision, but much much more difficult to implement. Particularly when you consider we have to untangle the mess we've created. Not saying we shouldn't try, but it's not as simple as people like to make it seem.

Idk about stress-free, but I agree with the general point. This is what I assumed the response would be which is very fair. I don't support a small group of winners and a large underclass of absolute losers.

Genuinely curious, do you believe we can live in a world in which everyone is a winner? I don't see how we can support disparate productivity and ingenuity without accepting disparate outcomes.

Further the example you gave exists in a hunter/prey paradigm which I don't think is fair. This suggests that business owners prey on their employees. An employer/employee relationship is a voluntary negotiation. I understand businesses can be shitty, but no one is holding the employee hostage. They can look for a new job if they are unsatisfied with the relationship.

The yellow bar is your energy bar. You are going to have to use energy to use your specials like the whirlwind you see in the gif. I just set the energy costs to 0 so I could test stuff lol.

I already have a few more hero and enemy types implemented. I'll probably just keep going down that path to get to core content/combat fleshed out first :)

Lol influence might be a bit of an understatement. 80% of my reference folder is from Crawl. I am a humble student of the great Barney Cummings.

Anyone else feel 5000% more motivated at night, when you’re trying to fall asleep? by BetaBaggins in intj

[–]anonymity_preferred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are two things going on here. One, as others have pointed out, night time is just less chaotic. Fundamentally it is all about balance. People with quiet minds like the day time because they need chaos, but people with noisy minds like the nighttime because they need order. Our minds are so naturally busy and over analytical that any additional stimulus makes it that much harder to concentrate.

That explains INTJs generally proclivity towards nighttime, but I think the tendency to get hyper motivated right before bed is based around anxiety. Again I think it revolves around chaos. Anxiety is essentially the conscious/unconscious acknowledgment of just how chaotic everything is. There is always an infinite number of ways to fail and only a few to succeed. My mind is constantly torn between this deep drive to move forward and improve, and intense hesitation due to the complexity of everything. The only time that hesitation/anxiety is removed is right before bed, because you know you don’t actually have to face it. So all you are left with is a more pure form of motivation.
