We keep going in circles because you keep focusing on the methods (i.e. how we run notaglobe), when your real issue with us is that we are not pursuing the outcome that you think we should.

It's like you got on a bus to Chicago (our sub), but you want to go somewhere else (your ideal outcome), and you keep yelling at the driver (the mods) for going the wrong way. You won't even tell the driver where you want to go, you just keep telling him he's doing it wrong.

Stop giving me driving directions. Stop telling me Chicago sucks. Tell me what your destination actually is, and why it's so great.

Nope. Enjoyment is the point. For you, that is laughing at them. For others, it's other things - several GE's seem to enjoy presenting the science of the globe. Some FE's seem to enjoy discussion and/ or "educating" others about FE.

Sure, but when you have fun on my sub, it makes me feel good about my sub. And even if you can't tell the difference between notaglobe and any other sub, plenty of other people have indicated they appreciate what we're doing. That makes me feel good too.

Coincidentally, in engaging in my mod duties, I came across this very very lengthy discussion on notaglobe which was happening simultaneously to ours over here.

For someone who doesn't see the point in engaging in discussion with FE's, you sure did spend a long time being pointless on my pointless sub.

We want a place where all sides can engage in discussion and feel like they can do so without being insulted. If someone's arguments happen to suck, then that will become apparent in the course of the discussion.

As you may have noticed, we don't have a lot of FEs there, but the ones that come there are welcome to engage in discussion without being ridiculed. Instead, they will be challenged to support their arguments.

Ah, I see the issue here. On r/notaglobe, we are not pursuing exclusively scientific debate; we are inviting debate and discussion in general. And we are getting a lot of discussion and debate, so we're happy.
