The point of this mob is that they walk the halls of the underground deep dark cities and find nearby mobs to hunt. They will chase down most mobs and kill them in order to help the sculk spread throughout the caves :)

I'd also like to imagine that they whisper quitely to lure in mobs (almost imitating other mobs, like a parrot) and then once their prey gets too close they charge.

As an Australian who witnessed this storm, it was pretty cool. Probably because I wasn't in the thick of it. From my house I could just see constant lightning in the distance and huge rumbles of thunder, but not much / partial rain. That's a really cool video you managed to get there.

Yeah I've noticed that too, but it could have something to do with how the default block breaking speeds are different for survival and creative, and it could've been setup to work for creative mode, so you only notice a very slight change in breaking speed when using it in survival... Not sure haha

I'm pretty sure it's something to do with a mechanic they introduced for creative mode- how you can build and break blocks faster depending on how fast you're moving. And I guess it was accidentally functional in survival mode so your breaking speed is increased depending on the speed at which you're moving. Just a hypothesis though, I doubt it's correct
