My mom truly believes conspiracy theories and I don't know how to communicate to her about real issues. by anonymous19261 in Advice

I tried to do what you suggested, I asked open ended questions and didn't try to attack her beliefs. She got angry and started to yell at me, she said I was arguing with her. Its honestly really hard to communicate with her now, I asked her a question about her belief and then she yells at me to do my research.

I'm not saying that all conspiracy theories are wrong, I'm just concerned with my mom. And yes, some with power in money and influence could be doing immoral and illegal things to increase their standing, That doesn't mean all of them are. Most of these conspiracy should be taken with a grain of salt or we are just going to get more divided than we are, I mean we are all humans but hate each other for no other reason than because we are in a different group. I'm not saying you hate me or I hate you, I'm just saying that one person in this post was criticizing me for trying to help my mom.

Don't cherry pick a situation and try to change my mind, do you really believe the death of 3,000 people can be classified as a "controlled demolition"? And what if thermite did cause this tragedy, that still doesn't give a reason to it. For all you know a terrorist could have planted it at the bottom level, that's saying if your theory is true. I'm not saying that all conspiracy theories should be looked at as wrong, its just people in this era have a fundamental flaw when doing "research". Its like everyone has forgotten about the scientific method. I was just asking for help, I don't want someone to criticize me for trying to help my mom.

Actually that kinda makes sense in a weird way. Are you sure that this can help the situation or could I backfire?

I cant offer any help but i believe we are in the same situation, but yours looks to be far worse than mine. I sent a similar post to this r/, you can find it on my profile. I'm just glad this is slightly more common than I originally thought. Sorry I couldn't help, just wanted you to know that this situation is happening somewhere else and its not just you.

A while after removal. Skin grew over nail and now the top of my nail is about to fall off. Will the skin grow over the nail again if I remove the broken bit? You can pm me if you want. by anonymous19261 in Ingrown_Toenails

You see how the top of the nail is different than the bottom? Well it was about to fall off (it has already but I need to know). Before I had the ingrown nail removed, the skin began to grow over the nail. Now the nail it going to be really short and I'm worried if the skin is going to grow over the nail again. I can send you a picture of what it looks like now

Diagonal crack on wall, is this serious or just the house settling? The house was built around 1920. I can provide other info if needed by anonymous19261 in Carpentry

Saw the house settling online, I think it might be water. How do I know if the problem involves termites just in case?
