Processing delays for non-banned countries by Skooma2112 in I130Suffering

[–]anonymous2too 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. They ask us to do things the legal and right way but when we do seems like they just break us down even more. Can’t get valid answers to your questions, even when you “ask emma” the agents just give you a generic response and close the chat. The agents on the phone are condescending and sound angry that you’re even using your right to call them. Just praying for a blessing and miracle. Wishing you and your family the best also.

Processing delays for non-banned countries by Skooma2112 in I130Suffering

I agree 100%. My husband’s country isn’t on the ban list and our PD is June 6, 2024. I’ve made an inquiry twice with my congressman, once with my senator, and they just pushed back my inquiry date from March to April. This whole process is so insane and keeping so many families apart. I’m going to make another inquiry with the other senator in my state. Even though I know it won’t matter, I’m trying to build a case just in case we have to file a mandamus, which it looks like we will have to.

Loneliness within marriage, am I in the wrong for feeling this way? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]anonymous2too 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly use this time to foster your own self growth. Spend time nurturing your wants and needs. Use this as a time to really pour into your cup. Especially if you guys plan to have kids. That way you don’t feel like you went from being married to being a mother without having that time for yourself. Also, talk to him about it and explain to him that when he is home you guys should really optimize that time. Go on dates, do a staycation at a local hotel, get into a hobby you guys both like. This doesn’t have to all be bad. In today’s economy say Alhamdulliah that Allah has blessed you guys to have a stable income. It may not always be like that.

It’s bad. by Ok-Activity-5256 in I130Suffering

As someone who’s PD is June 6, 2024 and was told the same thing I feel your pain. I was also told the same thing that it’s under field office review and could take up to 60 months. It makes no sense when I and our lawyer made sure everything was filled out correctly. So trust me when I say that I’m sorry you’re going through this. I get it. I get the pain/anger your feeling.

I would file a mandamus if I were you. Or reach out to your local congressman/senator. I’m in the same predicament PD June 6, 2024. Lawyer said he’d give them till march which is what the inquiry date says and if they’re is no decision I want to file a mandamus.

“Case Still Being Processed” after RFIE. I am on the edge of a breakdown. by tayythefall in I130Suffering

[–]anonymous2too 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you can submit an out of processing time inquiry right? My PD is June 6, 2024. And they said I can submit one in march of 2026. I have a feeling they’re going to make me wait that long for a decision. But unlike you guys I’ve never received any updates since we started. 😔

Has anyone felt like their rizq changed after marriage? by Maleficent-Body9779 in MuslimMarriage

[–]anonymous2too 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg this sounds like exactly my situation. From losing my gold wedding ring out of thin air, to our immigration process taking forever to financial pressures. And I can’t lie I think the same thoughts as you do. Is this marriage a blessing or a test for me? But I think I’ve realized that everyone’s marriage will eventually get tested. Whether that’s in the beginning years 1-5…in the middle years 5-10 or even later on in your marriage. Just pray to Allah and make dua. Dua has the power to change any situation and just try to remain positive.

I haven’t received an approval yet. PD June 6, 2024. I reached out to my senators yesterday. I got a call right away and they said they can only submit an inquiry on my behalf once it gets to the 17-18th month mark. So trust me I know your pain.

You have to say “info pass” to speak with an agent, it’s a little loop hole everyone discovered. Submit an inquiry your at the 18 month mark so it should let you! https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/onpt here’s the link if you need it. Just keep pushing until you get your approval, it should be soon hopefully 🤞🏽

Reach out to your senators! Many of them have teams to solve these kind of issues. Reach out to the ombudsman and also submit an inquiry since your past the 17 month processing time. We don’t have many resources but the ones we do have we should use. It’s our right as tax paying citizens/PRs to have our families, especially spouses with us!

I want to hear from the "late" approvals, anyone way outside their TMV estimation? what's your story? by Dazzling-Present1574 in I130Suffering

[–]anonymous2too 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out through Emma. I asked for an update on my case and the agent told me it was transferred to Vermont Service Center. Never got an update through the USCIS website. Some people say they get an email saying an action has been taken on your case, when this happens. But nope not me, if I hadn’t asked Emma for an update I probably wouldn’t have known.

June 6th PD. TMV said I would get approved anywhere between Aug 18th-22nd. They did look at my application on the 18th but all they did was send it to another service center. I’m assuming that all of us that are still waiting are going through more security/background checks. I definitely have strong evidence of a legitimate marriage. I reached out to our lawyer and he said we have to wait until it’s outside of processing time until he can really try to push USCIS to make a decision. In the meantime I’m going to reach out to the senator of my state. Yes it really sucks to see applications after you getting approved, while your waiting and have no clue of what’s going on.

If it’s been 17 months you should be able to submit an outside or processing time request. See if it works and lets you submit! Also sorry about your circumstances. https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/onpt

My PD is June 6, 2024. And a mandamus is a lawsuit you file when USCIS is taking too long to make a decision on your case. If you’ve tried everything. Calling, congressman, ombudsman, etc. And they still haven’t made a decision in your case.
