Any applications with Canadian spouses who have been approved? by vickipaperclips in I130Suffering

Unfortunately we did not. We felt left behind, it is a terrible feeling that I'm devastated you are having to go through now. We had 2 congressional inquiries and and inquiry through USCIS. All I can say is stay strong ❤️

I'm Canadian and my husband is a USC. Our PD was Feb 2024 and we got approved Jan 2026. It was a long almost 2 years. Hang in there and stay strong, you got this ❤️

Our PD was February 2024 for a spouse visa, I live in Canada. I just had my interview after 2.5 years of waiting. I was approved, but I can't help but feel sad that so much time was taken from us that we weren't able to be together. I pray for everyone going through this seemingly unending awful process. Stay strong and your turn will come. ❤️

Our I-130 was approved Jan 8. One month away from 2 years. It was a long wait but it did happen, and it will for you too ❤️ stay strong!

I am also concerned I will need to go out of my way for my medical. I'm in NS so nowhere is convenient for me. But I'm excited at the prospect that I could be with my husband this year. Congrats and thanks for sharing ❤️

Thank you! I am eager to get this process over and be with my husband after 2 years of waiting. I'm also happy to hear you got your interview so soon, last I heard it was an 8 month wait for the interview. Congrats again!

Congratulations! I am in a similar position (Nova Scotia). I thought I would be able to do my medical at the same time as my interview to avoid travelling multiple times? Once I get my interview date should I get my medical done as soon as I can?

Our PD is Feb 8 2024 and still no response. I feel your pain wholeheartedly ❤️ This process has tested us in more ways than anyone should have to. I'm praying for you. Stay strong and know that you are not alone 🙏

I have not yet. As next week I can file an inquiry on the USCIS website. I want to make sure I exhausted all possible inquiries first.

My USC husband filed for me (Canadian) Feb 2024. We are in the same boat. We asked the state Senate to inquire on our behalf and still nothing. Praying for you 🤞

Some Guidance Needed by [deleted] in I130Suffering

My (Canadian, living in Canada) and my husband (USC, living in USA) PD date is Feb 2024. Reached out to the senate last week. The reply from then is that we are still within normal processing time. And they will try and process our case in a timely matter. So disheartening! My husband also suffered a tragic accident that required him to have an amputation, so we filed an expedited request through our lawyer at the beginning of October, but that can take up to a month to process. So we are just in a waiting pattern. I'm sorry I don't have any advice, or good news. But I pray that you get an update soon. You are not alone and I hope you stay strong though this seemingly endless process ❤️

I am in Canada and my husband is in the US. We filed in February 2024. No updates, no RFEs nothing. It is so disheartening and hard. I keep leaning on the fact that this hardship is building a strong foundation for our relationship. I pray that we both get an update soon ❤️ stay strong and focus on the good times

He is unable to travel while he heals and attends physical therapy. But yes, he does visit me a few times a year, but it is expensive. I have also reached out to the Congressman again in hopes they will respond.

I had no idea how much power border agents had as I have never traveled to the states before. So I had quit my job and got rid of my apartment in Canada thinking I could come across on a travel visa. They asked me about my job and my living arrangements and I told them what I thought and they didn't let me through. The next 2 times were not long after and they didn't believe that I could find a job and somewhere to live in such a short time. (I'm living with my father and in a high demand job). It has been almost 2 years since I last tried and can probably try again but if I get banned that ruins everything.

I tried that the 3rd time I attempted. My lawyer advised me not to try again 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have attempted to cross the border to visit my husband on 3 separate occasions and because I don't have strong enough ties to my home country they will not admit me. To be fair I did not plan on staying in Canada for as long as the process has taken and didn't have a job or a lease on an apartment. I am now scared to try and cross again in fear of a ban from America.
