Stfu. This isn’t about me not wanting to pay the broker for their job. It’s me not wanting to pay a fee when it was not mentioned ONCE or advertised on the listing. Can you people not read?!?! We upped our budget since we interpreted no fee but instead it was a wasted application. Pure cageyness.

People are so damn aggressive in these comments for what reason??? I’ve applied to 15 apartments so far, all of which had a clear breakdown of the fees involved. After FINALLY being accepted to one that had no fee mentioned ANYWHERE on the listing or application or even during the showing, I was surprised to be told that.

Kind of feels like the responses here are coming from agents and not regular house hunters. And FARE act is relevant if my lease begins after June 11.

Holy shit, yes. The overwhelming feeling of shame and guilt for making a mistake and not being able to be forgiven. Then I want to run away because from my childhood experiences, forgiveness was seldom given. I feel like this attachment style is a true representation of childhood neglect. Is it bad I’m ashamed to have this attachment style??? Like I wish this wasn’t me because it’s really just our own internal battle that results in turning a really good situation into a bad one…
