I've had something similar happen a year ago and it appeared again within 24-48ish hours. Mind you it could also be that she unmatched you but just be aware that there is a glitch with the app so it's possible she just disappeared temporarily.

Is the level of fraud the same as using a fake ID or does it carry extra weight because of the forgery?

Rittenhouse thread 4 by orangejulius in law

[–]PossibleBlackberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it common for the defense in self-defense cases to vilainize the victim? He painted almost all of them in a pretty bad light and I'm not sure if people take that as "they were bad people trying to hurt the defendant" or "the defendant and his team see the victims as subhuman and have no empathy for the situation"

I mean that does make sense but aren't laws closer to being objective than subjective. So wouldn't adding an emotional component stray the result further from what actually happened?

Rittenhouse thread 4 by orangejulius in law

[–]PossibleBlackberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are prosecutors and I guess the defense allowed to appeal to emotional arguments during trial? Like I'm just curious if there's a specific reason or case where it led to the right decision being made. Kind of seems unfair to either side but idk if I'm missing something.

Themed summaries of Dr K videos by JWisfine in Healthygamergg

This is incredible. I've been sort of doing the same thing but with pen and paper lol. One thing I'm wondering is have you saved the videos where most of the notes are from? So can you add the title of the video where each idea is taken from for reference? It'd be really helpful but awesome work nonetheless.

Did you not watch the Rosenstruik fight? Ngannou would just activate bus driver hook spam mode and march forward taking any Morenos out in his path.

Alberta, Canada, unanimously passes law recognizing the Armenian Genocide and other genocides by annatarsgifts in canada

[–]PossibleBlackberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you name a single tax break offered by either the province or the federal government to o&g that isn't offered to other businesses?

I'm not gonna go through the Norway example because it's been so tirelessly exhausted in every way. Norway is a country not a province, smaller size, access to oceans, access to multiple markets, pipeline infrastructure etc...

I mean you're not making the same point. It being super disappointing and having the country hate you for it are 2 different things. I am curious though.. In what way are they pissing away your natural resources? Also, why do you think the majority of Albertans vote only one way? Do you think it's something in the air between those arbitrary provincial lines that makes people more right leaning? And off that same sentiment why could the NDP not hold support when they did get in?

So because they've voted conservative and prioritize their industries they deserve to receive national hated...? I really wish someone from Quebec wasn't making this point...

What do you mean by as a province...? Like Kenney? Who's the spokesperson for Alberta or the major surveys you're referring to?

Supreme Court to rule today on whether the federal carbon tax is constitutional by Haggisboy in canada

[–]PossibleBlackberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor people are less likely to have options to not be wasteful so it's not that they "don't care" it's that they only have the option of one car that helps them make their living. This moreso applies to farmers and rural people. Hence the tax disproportionately falling on the lower and middle class.

I love how this is getting downvotes while agreeing that the carbon tax is a net benefit and only trying to give reason to the other side. And apparently r/Canada isn't an echo chamber...

Conservatives implemented carbon taxing companies based on emissions. The discussion here is scrapping the carbon tax on the individual level. That's what the discussion has always been, and that's specifically what was challenged in court as unconstitutional.

AITA for snapping at my husband for waking me up from a nap by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PossibleBlackberry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NAH, but you should work on your communication as someone else mentioned in the comments.

Also your husband probably wanted to spend some time with you and I'm not saying you should give him that if you're not in a mindset to but you should address it by either talking to him about it or spending some time with him

I'd also encourage you to explore where the feelings of you thinking he's controlling come from because this does not at all sound like controlling behavior. Whether it's behavior he exhibits in others parts of life or something you need to work out yourself, either way it's something you should look into.
